For Macro Mondays.
This was a difficult challenge for me. I often use intentional motion blur but have never used it with a macro shot where the photo limitations must be no more than 3 ins. It took a lot of practice as I wanted there to be a recognisable subject too. I ended up with slowing the shutter speed right down and holding the camera still for some of the time before giving it a swirly movement.
What I love about using ICM is that I can never predict the result so have to take lots of images, knowing that the majority will be deleted, and look forward to the surprise ones that work for me. I realise that a lot of people do not enjoy looking at them in the same way as I do! In the end I had about 5 candidates to choose from and as usual find making decisions so very hard.
This is a floret of dried hydrangea petals so the subject is about an inch/2.5cm wide.
Picture of the Route 5 (Panamerican Route) between La Serena and Santiago (a trenche of +/- 460 kilometres of lenght) and next to the small town of La Cebada.
As we can seen on this picture, a lot of cars were moving across this motorway between both cities, taking in mind that recently we have the summer season. Thousands of people choosen northern Chile for their holidays, specially due to the warm beaches and climate.
Back and forth, splish splash, perpetual motion, from long before me, and continuing long after I am gone along with my human worries.
Dusk at a lake I pass on a weekly basis, finally after years I found a little time to stop.

Experimenting with lower shutter speed and catching the cars speed. NO EDITING was done in terms of bluring the background, but the colors are obviously done, as I find it most appealing.
Just experimenting; from like 100 of photos that I have taken from this city bus, I've found only this one that I like.
