Sculpture By The Sea | Tamarama Beach | Sydney

The yellow part of the sculpture was in constant motion as the wind was strong on Sunday. It was mesmerising. It was pretty hard to frame a shot. This was my favourite sculpture.

Here are more shots of Morpheus.

This shot is based on scenes where Neo is freed from the computer generated world of the Matrix into the real world by Morpheus and his crew of the hovership the Nebuchadnezzar. Here is Neo about to be "jacked" into a computer generated training program to teach him that the laws of physics in the Matrix can be bent or broken...

Looking a little big ragged . . .

Morpheus by Phil Price

_____________

And here I am falling,

Oh why am I falling.

Take me to where I belong.

I'm standing here falling,

Before you falling.

If it weren't for your wings I'd be gone.

Time moves on and time won't be long,

In time I will fear not the day.

I'm endlessly knowing that you'll never know

What I might want you to say.

Morpheus Emerge.

Darkness Emerge.

Land of Morpheus...

Nightmare or daydream is his to command:

Infinite dreamscapes in his pouch of sand.

He became one with the night.

He unfurls his wings of sparkling light.

In mortals dreams he doth fight.

Master of matchless dreams—Morpheus!

rispondo anticipatamente alla domanda scontata: no, non ho chiesto la liberatoria, la signora dormiva e non potevo svegliarla; è una foto rubata con garbo e col massimo rispetto...:-))

Modelling Roypnol.

This shot is based on the scene where Neo as part of his training has to learn several martial techniques in order to fight or defend himself against an Agent.

Via a computer program the knowledge of a certain martial arts technique is directly implanted or downloaded to Neo's brain where he later says to Morpheus: "I know kung-fu"...

Morpheus.

is a god of dreams who appears in Ovid's Metamorphoses. Morpheus has the ability to mimic any human form and appear in dreams. His true semblance is that of a winged daemon, imagery shared with many of his siblings. Starting in the medieval period, the name Morpheus began to stand generally for the god of dreams or of sleep.

Sculpture by the Sea 2009

This year, I decided to get up at 4.30 am (Yes, I am surprised as well) to go to the exhibition at Bondi Beach. And still there were so many people around, even at 5.30 am.

This is one of my favourite sculptures this year.
