The glow of sun just rising warms the shoreline of Hay Bay

Another early trip to Lough Neagh this morning. Once again the fog was heavy and the sunrise just about broke through.

The fog was seen in the distance for about 45 minutes and finally started rolling in. Where I was standing to capture this, the fog had just barely reached me.

Early in the morning. Bitterly cold and stormy. Even the birds shelter behind the breakwater. I wish I had stayed under a warm duvet.

The early glow of sunrise over the rolling hills reveals the velvet textures of the landscape.

A beautiful September morning in Alaska reminds me of that old song "September Morn" sung by Neil Dimond.
