Loch Achray in the Trossachs at dawn. A very rewarding start to the day with some beautiful colours across the sky. Tigh Mor lends itself well as always for some added interest. Such a rewarding place to be and never fails to put me at peace with the world.

An eight stitch pano for this with the Lee IRND filter.

Shot over to to Ben Mor Coigach which is an impressive hill located outside Ullapool. Shot taken from the roadside as the sun set behind the ridge.

Buachaille Etive Mor is probably the best known and loved of all the Scottish mountains.

For travellers there are spectacular views of the mountain from the A82 road as it cuts across Rannoch Moor towards Glencoe.

Stob Dearg is the highest and most visible peak of Buachaille Etive Mor, and one of the most photographed sights in the Scottish highlands.

On a more Scottish day during our summer holidays, we decided to simply do a road trip, following the scenic route through Glencoe. Well, and when in the area, one simply has to stop for a photo of one of the most iconic mountains in Scotland! I've been at that place a couple of times, every time the weather and light is different. On this particular day, I struggled to get a shot without drizzle messing up the lens (I had to remove quite a few drops from the image). I was a bit unlucky, as literally five minutes before I reached the waterfall, the sun was still illuminating the mountain...ah well...I enjoyed every moment regardless!

Our second day in Glencoe took us to this iconic location. Unfortunately the sunrise didn't happen as we'd hoped but it's still a beautiful place to spend time regardless of the weather...

A trip to Glencoe can unveile some wonderful moments! During the gloom weather and a bit of patience, I managed to capture capture the great herdsman of Etive with light shining on the pinnacle!

One of my favorite local signs, the Bowl Mor. They keep the neon up and going.

Day 100 of 365. It started to snow just as I was finishing up photographing the garden. It melted very quickly but the chill stayed in the wind all day.

One of my favourite wee burns - running through the braes of Aoineadh Mor where the former township/village was situated before the evictions of the Highland Clearances. It must have been an idyllic location to live.

A bean (ban) sìth, is a female spirit from Scottish folklore, regarded as an omen of death and a messenger from the Otherworld. Sometimes she was seen dressed in a grey cloak over a green dress and because of continuous weeping, her eyes were often red or bloodshot.

Buachaille Etive Mor is one of the best known and loved of all the Munro peaks. The epic view of the mountain from the main A82 road makes it appear quite unassailable and is one of the most photographed sights in Scotland.

From the summit of Sgurr an Fhidhleir on an exceptionally clear night.

One of my favorite mountains in the scottish highlands, the Buachaille Etive Mor. In front the little river Coupall just before meeting the river Etive.

His name means the herdsman of Etive. Right at that spot beginns the Glen Etive.

Hoal ar mor / Tarraingt na farraige / The attraction of the sea - Southerndown, Bro Morgannwg

Tigh Mor Trossachs, the 'big house in the Trossachs', was a sadly neglected former hotel when it was rescued and restored to its former glory. Following a multi-million pound restoration and development programme, Tigh Mor emerged every bit as magnificent as it was in its heyday when Queen Victoria stayed there. Today it provides a choice of outstanding holiday apartments and cottages.

This was taken less than two weeks ago before the snow melt and at about five hundred feet short of the remote summit of Sgurr Mor.

The loch in the distance is Loch Quoich.

This is a mountain shot that goes back almost five years to rather snowy day on the periphery of Knoydart. I am really hoping that this winter brings late snow so I might be able to get out in it when travel restrictions are relaxed. The snow and ice clad mound on the left is the summit cairn of Sgurr Mor.

I did want to include Mark for some scale but he had gone for a wonder so I had to do with just landscape.

The dark waters of Gorm Loch Mor. Slioch can be seen behind Lochan Fada on the left.

Well its hardly surprising why people travel from miles around to photograph this beauty of a spot. Luckily there were only a handful of like minded photographers about on my second visit from the previous day, what a difference a bit of shine makes can't wait for a revisit.

Having climbed the south flank to reach the bealach we turned west and started to make our way up the summit ridge of Sgurr Mor. This view was taken a good way up the ridge just before we were engulfed in the cloud.

Buachaille Etive Mor, Glencoe

This was the special morning on our trip, the conditions could honestly not have been better. One of those times with perfect light, colours, snow, frost, ice and all without any wind which made it feel warmer than it actually was.

This is one of that famous pointy mountain, with a slight different foreground take.

I hope you don't mind but looking at my images made over the 3 day trip you will be seeing a good few images..hopefully you will enjoy them all.

Buachaille Etive Mor from Glen Etive. This is a slightly different angle form those that are frequently seen. The light when this was taken was not great but I think it is still a nice image.

A smaller Corbett I climbed last year, we get a good view of Sgor Mor from the slopes of Carn a' Mhaim as we make the final descent ... and this makes the last of the series .. home and pizza!!

Ben Macdui is the UK's 2nd highest peak (second only to Ben Nevis) and stands at 1309m (4294ft). After descending from this Munro we make a climb to the 2nd Munro of the day, Carn a' Mhaim (pronounced Carn-ah-Vame) at 1037m (3402ft).

On a beautiful evening last week I carefully watched the sea mist & clouds for several hours, which showed no signs of rising or retreating. Never have I witnessed clouds lay so low over the ocean for so long before. I knew if there was a vibrant sunset then the light may reflect off the low lying cloud tops, hopefully giving an ethereal look to the surrounding landscape.

Due to my proximity in north Donegal I knew there was one perfect location to capture this unusual sunset that evening, on the stunning Trá Mór Beach…… I can just imagine the mythical lost kingdom of Tír na nÓg resting under these calm atlantic waters next to Tory Island in the distance 💚
