Actually this was a present for Natalee. Some silver jewellery..... I got taken to the shop to see what she was choosing before we bought it. Maybe I should take her to a camera shop next weekend....

#4 - Un Cadeau

(Python Video clip here)

Or, more appropriately, Castle Stalker, Loch Etive, near Oban.

The ladies ran into two Monty Python characters at the Texas Renaissance Festival in 2011

Despite the government cutbacks it was rather interesting to see the Ministry of Silly Walks is still here. Although minus bowler hat and umbrella.

I mentioned this shot to Scott (potofclay) so I thought I would post it.

The Beatles Scavenger Hunt # 44

October 2010 -

I wonder where that fish has gone.

You did love it so. You looked after it like a son.

And it went wherever I did go.

Is it in the cupboard?

Yes! No!

Wouldn't you like to know. It was a lovely little fish.

And it went wherever I did go.

It's behind the sofa!

Where can the fish be?

Have you thought of the drawers in the bureau?

It is a most elusive fish.

And it went wherever I did go!

Oh fishy, fishy, fishy, fish.

Fish, fish, fish, fishy oh!

Oh fishy, fishy, fishy fish.

That went wherever I did go.

(From Monty Python's Meaning of Life)

This is Castle Stalker in the bay near the hotel. It's where they filmed Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Just needs the knotted handkerchief on his head...

Knowing he will need a method of calling his hommies (i.e. Brave Sir Robbin and the Knights who say 'Ni') the Rabbit bit into a new SIM chip for his mobile phone at Vodaphone

This is for my Friend Joanne and the knights now known as the Knights who say "Ekke Ekke Ekke Ekke Ptang Zoo Boing Zow Zing"

Mr Gumby: "I would put a tax on all people who stand in water" [looks around to discover he's actually standing in a river] "Oh!"

From the Monty Python sketch "A Tax on Thingy". Mr Gumby is played brilliantly by John Cleese and I have to admit this is a line that comes to me frequently when people say ridiculously stupid things.

Killer Rabbit is trying to eat my middle finger!

Almost time for bed.

Goodnight!

( A little while here still...)

For some reason, I keep thinking of that scene in Search for the Holy Grail where the Lord comes down from the sky to talk to Artur and the one guy Michael Palin I think says "A message, a message from the Lord"

Coffee Liquor, cookie crumble and chocolate cows. Yep, chocolate cows.

No giant model cow - they had a Chihuahua in a cow suit instead, that had a grand time sitting in the catapult. (No of COURSE they didn't launch the pup!)

Atlanta, GA

I'm going through all the old records from the basement and adding the ones I still want to LaLa.com to get them in CD form. I'm hoping to get down to fewer than 25 left waiting to track down a CD version or get them transferred. As for the rest, Amoeba's trading counter will probably be seeing me soon.

Monty Python on their Monty Python Live (mostly), at the O2 on July the 4th

Not only did I get to see Eric Idle's Greedy Bastard tour when it rolled through Pittsburgh, but he stuck around after the show to sign autographs.
