Monty Python and the History of The World day-at-a-time calendar. One of my New York City gifts for myself. Now proudly over my office desk near to the monitor so that everybody can see it.
"Immerse yourselft in the world of bizarre and beloved british humor with this daily dose of MP. Significant events, classic bits and totally useless trivia..."
Actually, land has shrunk -- no, not from rising ocean levels or abusive imminent domain travesties -- from massive amounts of weight loss. This should make it easier for huge tracts of land to get around, but sadly, it's been quite the opposite.

Burke Walton in the dressing room. Monty Python has come to Boulder a first time to taunt poor King Arthur, the principled if idiotic leader of the quest for the Holy Grail. (Why God the all-knowing has misplaced His cup is anyone's guess.) “Spamalot,” the Tony Award-winning best musical of 2005, lovingly rips off the beloved, warped source film, with its full allotment of dancing divas and knights, flatulent Frenchmen, killer rabbits and that one snickeringly legless fightin' knight. While the plot loosely follows the same course of events as the film, the stage equivalent is very much its own sacrilegious thing, so do not come expecting a carbon copy. We open in Finland, after all. I mean, this is a bona fide Broadway musical, so it's got to have some actual women too. And here those women are Laker Girls. For real. Starring Wayne Kennedy as the utterly guileless King Arthur, with Alicia Dunfee as his Lady of the Lake. The ensemble includes Brett Ambler, Scott Beyette, Brian Cronin, Barrett Harper, Jessica Hindsley, Bob Hoppe, Brian Jackson, Norrell Moore, Brian Norber, Joey Revier, Scott Severtson, Burke Walton, Tracy Warren, Tracey Zimmerman and ... STG ... Jerry Lewis (the real Jerry Lewis) as the Voice of God. Directed by Piper Lindsay Arpan, who appeared in the Broadway production of "Spamalot." Showtimes: 7 p.m. Wednesdays, 7:45 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays; 1:30 and 7:45 p.m. Sundays (dinner service 90 minutes before) through March 1 at 5501 Arapahoe Ave., 303-449-6000 or www.bouldersdinnertheatre.com/ Phot by John Moore for www.CultureWest.Org. Rubbing the water based paint with a damp rag simulates the process of polishing, leaving "oxidation" only in crevices and folds.
Inspired by "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" *, it is our habit to solemnly thump our chant books on our heads at the end of each sesson.

We still do Chants and still do the thunk after we sing.

You may recognize the title from a Monty Python skit -- it's a throwaway line, delivered at one moment during The Tale of the Piranha Brothers. I've always enjoyed the line, because it comes right out of left field ... and it heads right back there the moment after it is delivered.
Created using the Pic Collage app, the photos were selected from my iPhone photo gallery. After some initial experimentation with the app, I decided to go with square images, rather than the standard iPhone rectangles, and so I hunted down these existing Instagram photos of foodstuffs. With a bit of experimentation within the interface, it was possible to apply a photo to the background, and add a drop shadow (yes, it's subtle) to each photo. I tried removing the existing default border from each photo, but it made little difference to the result. (The results might have been different had the photos not already had a white border -- we'll try this again!) Pre-editing photos and cropping to different shapes in a different iPhone app (like Photogene) before inserting them into the collage would allow for additional creativity.

My Londoner Friend Dave Ramsden (R.I.P.) took me in a Cinema at Camden (I think) to this movie. I'm an atheist and so the movie was exactly what I adore. I was overwhelmed. But I thought that this movie was never, ever be released in Germany. -- I was wrong ! Times are changing.
Aunque no lo parezca, el regalo de Noelia es el pack de DVDs de la serie Monty Python's Flying Circus!
Y es que voy a emplear estas dos tarjetas regalo en comprarme precisamente eso :P

We're Knights of the Round Table
We dance whene'er we're able
We do routines and chorus scenes
With footwork impeccable
We dine well here in Camelot
We eat ham and jam and spam a lot
We're Knights of the Round Table
Our shows are formidable,
But many times we're given rhymes
That are quite unsingable
We're opera mad in Camelot
We sing from the diaphragm a lot
In war we're tough and able,
Quite indefatigable
Between our quests we sequin vests and impersonate Clark Gable
It's a busy life in Camelot
I have to push the pram a lot
