This fair beauty models her original outfit, jewelry and wig.
I'm looking forward to trying more wigs on her, but I only have a few.
I made this A cushion for my daughter Aniek. She just turned 7 and is always writing words and letters since she is learning how to read and write in school.
i created some basic letters for my website. and my daughter loves her new pillow!
i used scrappies for pretty much everything.

Many thanks to "Bringing Dolls to Life" www.flickr.com/photos/fashionroyaltylj/, who reintroduced the challenge of photographing a different doll each week of the month.

Admiration stands in front of a blow-up photo of my own fireplace .... She dropped by for a visit!!!
Two styles of monogram cookies I made for a friend's wedding shower. The colors and floral design were inspired by the shower invitation. Part of the letters and the flowers were done using stencils I made and other details were piped by hand.
I adore this doll, she is so beautiful!!!!

victoire: "stop playing with your dolls. we're late."

if you look closely, you'll see the fruit is wax, not real.
in the late 50's, my mother put wax fruit in a bowl in the livingroom. i hated it - not just the taste (yes, i did). over time they got pretty icky. when a beautiful new koa wood bowl arrived, and mom just transferred the old nasty wax fruit!
i, on the other hand, have a monkey bowl of plastic fruit in my kitchen - and when they melt, i just flip them over.
i remember we had a tall ceramic siamese sitting on a table too in the 50's - my mom was funny, i'm sure if she ever saw a giant pineapple lamp, we'd have had one of those.
all furniture, and pineapple lamp is from the timelessly talented lizretros: www.flickr.com/photos/lizretros/
victoire is from the forties, and monogram from the fifties wearing a fashion from the sixties - oh well, their colors match.
the artwork by kerry beary was digitally inserted. i accidentally removed her floor and wallpaper graphics, then tweeked the color to match this vignette. kerry's fabulous original picture is here: www.google.com/imgres?q=kerry+beary&hl=en&sa=G&am...

Springtime Allegory
Like sun silk breaks through snow brocade
Weirdo winter yields to shades of greens
Soon the very last flakes will have to fade
Seas of flowers will unfold in-betweens
Sunbeam-kissed caressing coral lips
Hints of words that hardly breathe
Shifting hands on dainty hips
Springtime finds it's way unleashed.
Enjoy the sun
And have much fun ;-)
