Sorry for crappy pic but it was really late last night and I was pretty tired while taking them so most of them ended up terrible with my hands shaking... but didn't see her posted yet and I know people are waiting for out of box pics, I know I would at least...
White chocolate cupcakes with raspberry buttercream and monogram toppers and bright flowers. One of four boxes for a birthday party.
This is a tiny monogram pillow I created for the Sublime Stitching challenge. I used a beading needle and polyester sewing machine threads. The finished size is 1.5cm x 2cm. Blogged about here.
These cupcakes are in a burgandy with gold damask cupcake paper and topped with vanilla buttercream. The toppers were made of marshmallow fondant that was airbrushed with a damask stencil then cut into squares and the monogram was piped on with royal icing. The last step was to airbrush the toppers with a pearl finish.
I got this great idea from Sally (http://shimandsons.typepad.com/shimandsons/). I like the way it turned out. Zachy's kind of obsessed with the letters in his name, especially the Z, so it was perfect for him.
I cut out the Z, and then ironed it on with fusible interfacing. I added the embroidery floss stitches to make it a little more whimsical, but they aren't needed.
