The monogram for Our Lady was a popular pilgrim's badge worn by those who had visited her shrines. Tomorrow is the feast of Our Lady of Walsingham and this monogram is the badge used by the Shrine there.
This window is in the Lady Cathedral of Southwark's Catholic Cathedral.
From an old, out-of-print french book on monogram embroidery. I can't even remember where I got this book. I must have picked it up when in Paris in the 1990s.
In all the years I have had this exquisite doll, I have only once taken photos of her. Happy that a ballgown theme on DD made me take her out again. I'm also testing out the new photo box/tent, and it was much fun. Life Ball, to me, is still as stunning as I found her more than a decade ago. And although her hands have a sweaty/melty feeling to them, the rest of her has stayed pristine.

I totally overbought on the wool, and am now searching for (and taking suggestions for) projects that use wool plaids.
Faceted rondelles of Garnet and the letter J.
This necklace can of course be made in any stone and with any letter.
My first attempt at monogram cookies. It was a last minute request for a bridal shower. I think the small letters should be higher but not to bad for the first time.
A weird hybrid of a model. The box says a turbo Firebird. The instructions say its a Trans am. You get the wheels that were seen on the early turbo 79-81 models, but the hood of non turbo. Not sure about the solid roof to. Also came with lake pipes.
So I chopped off the lake pipes and found some 78 Snowflake wheels to make it definite non turbo 79.
Sadly the decals were rubbish. The moment they left the paper they shrunk.and wilted up. So had to use 78 trans am decals. Also scratch built some tail pipes.
Monogram cookies I made for a friend's wedding shower. The bridal couples first names and new last name all begin with T's. I used hand cut stencils for the letters and hand piped to other details.

I made 4 flavors for cookies and used 2 different color combinations. They were sugar cookie with vanilla icing, orange flavored sugar cookie with orange flavored icing, Butter pecan sugar cookie (with chopped pecans) and vanilla icing, and chocolate sugar cookie with vanilla icing. Hard to tell but some dots are red and soem are burnt orange.
This fabulous design was used with permission from decadent cookie...thank you Vicky!
