In honor of the men, women, straight, gay, trans, and immigrants, the international students, soldiers, and veteran’s union members, day laborers, anyone making their voices known today to stand in solidarity against kings and bullies!

Let’s face it we were never perfect as a country, yes read your history while you still can but we as a country have had moments of enlightenment, compassion, we have created some amazing things and dare I say have had moments of greatness. The Statue of Liberty is still a symbol of our greatness. Let’s save our celebrations for the our soldiers and veterans on the 4th of July and Veteran’s day, we do not need or want a Kings day.

Please stay safe everyone and look out for each other if you are out there! Be the greatness they are pretending !

Snow fence by Roustabout_photo

This snow fence is one of the shots that appears occasionally in my feed and a rare example in color.

This must have been taken at least three years ago since they haven’t put up snow fences for at least two. Ya that global warming thing… I know many of you don’t believe in that kind of woke thinking but in my life time the Delaware river used to freeze over and we needed snow fencing to keep drifts off the roads.

All images were shot using the Hasselblad 500v

Because the Hasselblad has an interchangeable back I decided to shoot two Kodak films. Kodak Portra 400 and Kodak Tri X 400 all on a tripod so the framing and lighting would be identical. Light meter readings were all done using the “Viewfinder “app. More on that later

I’m traditionally a black and white kinda guy but I may be exploring a bit more color after this experiment. Each post will have both version for comparison.
