Inanna, another mermaid/sea goddess, small witch-mother figure, Cretan snake goddess, a Buddhist goddess I haven't identified, a white mare with foal (Rhiannon/Epona), pewter Isis goblet, tiny mammoth ivory goddess. (--and the Monkey King. =)

Basing on the 2015 animated movie of the same name which broke records as the highest-grossing animated film in China at the time of release with a box office of $153 million, Monkey King: Hero Is Back depicts the journey shared by three main characters: Monkey King, Pigsy and the child character, Liu Jiang. These figures fight many different monsters using varied skills and magic alongside their cooperation and shared individual wisdom. As the journey continues, the relationships among three characters are greatly enhanced, and they find the missing puzzles of their own individual lives.

Monkey King is the seventh Action-Musical produced by Sight, Sound & Action. Specially conceived to commemorate the Beijing Olympic Games, this show is China’s first “Rock Musical” designed for family audiences. Inspired by the Chinese literary classic Journey to the West, the story is adapted so that people of all cultures can enjoy the spectacular variety of characters in their adventuresome pursuit of truth. This newest and largest-scale production of Sight, Sound & Action will delight audiences with new fusion-choreography, new Chinese rock-style music, and new surrealistic art direction. The show is guaranteed to provide an entirely new theatrical experience.

I've had the honor to shoot for my best friend's new clothing line -Akufuncture- this weekend. I wasn't the real photographer there but it sure was a lot of fun to play around with the models. Akufuncture is a new brand that was created to display a style that would spark a desire to know more about the (Chinese) culture that their products display. Congrats to my brother Sam for making it happen.

Got this little guy at Festival of Nations. looked a lot like 孙悟空 from journey to the west, so i bought it :D it's also known as mr. pointy. freaking stick is sharp as crap.

Since I cannot read the Chinese I brought one with me today I had the friend who went to the eye doctor with me today read one while we were waiting for the doctor. To our delight after one adventure with the Big Yellow Wind the Monkey King said that his eyes were troubled. So they wet to the home of an old man who looked at his eyes and then gave him some medicine which cured him!
