The monkey king character comes from a classic novel in China (and probably from stories older than that), and he's a very beloved character by Chinese children and adults alike. Wherever he goes, trickery and mischief ensues. In this scene, he's tricking the mighty Dragon King to give him a wicked sweet staff weapon.

I got this Monkey King figure for the husband for Christmas. He's bigger and painted with much more finess than the pictures I found online led me to believe.
For my favorite youngest brother's birthday: White cake with lemon curd, covered with white chocolate.
Based on "Journey to the West" TV series. The Monkey King trapped under Buddha's mountain for 500 years.
Too tired to make the fondant peaches, so he got some persimmons instead.
