The Exotic Garden of Monaco has a very nice display of cacti and other succulent plants that are native to dry zones around the world so it’s very different from the majority of gardens you would find in this part of Europe. The view from this garden is also breathtaking because the garden was built along the cliffside and you have spectacular views of the Principality of Monaco, including the Rock of Monaco and the Mediterranian coastline.

One of the places that everyone visits when in Monaco is the Rock of Monaco. It’s located in the middle of the principality, which also happens to be the oldest part of Monaco. It’s called Monaco-Ville and besides being located on top of a rock formation, it’s filled with the Prince’s Palace of Monaco, a cathedral and many small winding streets.

Knew I had to make this famous bend ever since I worked out the curving road on a flat surface. I hope to add some more historical racing cars. At some point I'll post up some closer shots of the cars.

** Fontvieille is the newest of the four traditional quarters (districts) in the principality of Monaco, and one of ten Wards for modern administrative purposes. Located in the western part of Monaco its construction was started in the 1970s following the project of the Italian architect Manfredi Nicoletti. New plans exist to extend Fontvieille, due to Monaco's growing economy and population.

The Cathedral Notre-Dame-Immaculée of Monaco is a Roman-Byzantine building erected in Monaco under the principality of Charles III. It is the main church of the Monegasque Archdiocese. As such, it is an important element of the Monegasque identity, "symbol of a strong attachment to our roots and to our Christian faith" according to S.A.S. Prince Albert II.

It succeeded the Church of St. Nicholas which was destroyed in 1874. The foundation stone of the cathedral was laid January 6, 1875. The work was completed November 12, 1903, but it was consecrated only in 1911.

Visited all year round by tourists from around the world, it houses some remarkable artistic treasures such as the altarpiece of Saint Nicolas made by the Nice artist Louis Bréa in August 1500.

It also contains the tombs of most Princes, including those of Rainier III and his wife Princess Grace.
