Port Hercules (French: Port Hercule) is the only deep-water port in Monaco. The port has been in use since ancient times. The modern port was completed in 1926, and underwent substantial improvements in the 1970s. It covers almost 40 acres (160,000 m2), enough to provide anchorage for up to 700 vessels. The port is located in the La Condamine district. Harbour pilots are required for all vessels longer than 30 metres. The depth of water in the harbour ranges from seven metres for standard berths and up to 40 metres for the outer piers and cruise ship docks.

Monaco is the second-smallest independent state in the world. It is a playground for tourists and a haven for the wealthy, the former drawn by its climate and the beauty of its setting and the latter by its advantageous tax regime.

Le palais de Monaco, communément appelé le Palais princiera (monégasque : Palaçi d’u Pri̍ncipu), est la résidence officielle du prince de Monaco depuis 1297. Il est situé en haut du rocher de Monaco, quartier le plus ancien de la principauté de Monaco, surplombant la mer Méditerranée de soixante mètres.
Construit en 1191, à l’origine pour devenir une forteresse de la république de Gênes, cet édifice a connu au cours de son histoire, bombardements et sièges par de nombreuses forces étrangères. Depuis la fin du XIIIe siècle, c'est la demeure de la maison Grimaldi, famille qui conquit le lieu en 1297. Les Grimaldi gouvernent la principauté en tant que seigneurs féodaux et depuis le XVIIe siècle comme princes souverains.
Alors que les souverains européens construisent des palais luxueux de style Renaissance ou baroque, la situation géopolitique conduit le palais à être fortifié. L’occupation du lieu par les Grimaldi est peu commune, par rapport aux autres familles souveraines européennes, du fait de l’absence de palais secondaires ainsi que de l’étroitesse du territoire. Il en résulte que cette résidence fut habitée pendant plus de sept siècles par la famille princière.
Pendant le XIXe et le début du XXe siècle, le Palais et ses occupants deviennent le symbole glamour et jet set qui est associé au faste de Monte-Carlo et de la Côte d'Azur. Summum de cette théâtralité, en 1956, la vedette de cinéma américaine Grace Kelly devient princesse de Monaco après son mariage avec Rainier III. Aujourd'hui, le palais est la résidence d’Albert II, prince de Monaco.

I am currently using only my mobile phone due to dropping my laptop and destroying the 4K screen (not good). But as well as this, my new ASUS ProArt screen is not talking to the new home computer. It says Display Port not detected, as well as HDMI not detected and, worse, USB-C not detected. Goodness knows why it cannot "detect" them, as they are all in the correct ports.
And I have followed ALL the YouTube videos to fix this problem, but to no avail. So I will have another attempt at fixing this late tonight (Friday) after work!!
I think I may have to connect, via different 'ports', directly to the graphics card (NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti) which is a dedicated card, as distinct from one integrated on the motherboard. But I am not sure.
ANYWAY, in the meantime here is a retro flower from my online Adobe folder!!
