Or not, I woke when our neighbour squirrel started to make squirrelish noise and going up and down on the same tree. I like to believe it was ADHD squirrel. The view was beautiful, though.

The summit of Rye town’s hill encompasses
a splendid maze of Medieval, cobbled streets
and half-timbered buildings.
Some of these dwellings are small cottages
and others are substantial houses.
Mermaid Street is perhaps the most classic street in the town
and takes its legendary smuggling stories back many hundreds of years.
There are many residences around Church Square that pre-date Tudor times.
The “Old Vicarage,” now a distinctive pink mansion, is near the church tower.
It is one of many Georgian and Regency dwellings that grace this former port.
The house, shown here, is also nearby, and is tucked away in a corner, outside the churchyard.
The ornamental, umbrella-shaped tree provides even more shade, privacy and protection.
A town full of history, interest and intrigue.
This was an evening of epic sunset and I was running all over Sommarøy as wanted to catch us much of the epic light as I could as we were leaving the next morning. Then this cabin caught my attention with the last rays of the evening sun.
J'aime bien les couchers de soleil. Allons voir un coucher de soleil...

Happy New Year with a photo from last year's visit to Finland in Summer. Taken around midnight with the wide angle Holga. It's quite blurry in the original and I guess it might be from light bouncing around in that little plastic box called Holga during the long exposure (sth ~ 15 min I guess, not sure).
I have been terribly busy recently with office work and also photography. Had no time editing anything so photos are piling up. I hope to get some time during Chinese Spring Festival for that, there's some stuff coming up which I'm quite excited about.
There's potential in that 16-35mm f/2.8 lens. This is just a test, the sky was really cloudy that evening but I managed to capture a gap between the clouds. (:

It was just supposed to be a short walk with the dog in the evening that ended up getting my shoes wet on boggy paths. But will not complain to these views :)
