The fragmentary remains of this castle - also known as Castle Camus - are on the east coast of Sleat on the Isle of Skye between Isleornsay and Armadale.
Apparently archaeologists can tell us this is the new wing of the castle!
I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear that a lot more of this has fallen down since I took this pic in the early 90s as with Moil and Duntulm castles, also on Skye.

Apparently archaeologists can tell us that the fragments on the left are the "new wing" while the ivy encrusted lump on the right is the old wing.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear that a lot more of this has fallen down since I took this pic in the early 90s as with Moil and Duntulm castles, also on Skye.

On December 21st, the longest night of 2010, a total lunar eclipse will occur. There will be seventy-two minutes of glorious totality while the moon is enveloped in a cloak of luminous, blood-tinged amber. Totality will begin at 11:41 pm Black Phoenix Standard Time.
If this isn't a magical night, I don't know what is.
A voluptuous and brittle blend of lunar oils and white chypre shimmering with darkly glowing red musk, golden amber, black currant, patchouli, rose peppercorn, blackberry, ylang ylang, and daemonorops astride Yuletide's holly berry, white pine, winter rose, and myrrh.

e-wonosobo - Setoran para nasabah di perusahaan investasi abal-abal CV. Bina Sinar Sejahtera (BSS) cukup fantastis. Dalam sehari setoran uang dari para nasabah (korban) nilai transaksi bisa mencapai Rp 2 miliar. Hal itu diungkapkan oleh Saksi mantan Kasir CV. BSS Yuniasih kemarin (25/3) dalam Sidang terdakwa Tan Tandi Gunawan mantan Direktur CV. BSS.
Dalam sidang yang dpimpin oleh Ketua Majelis Hakim Sarwono, dengan terdakwa Tan Tandi Gunawan mantan Direktur CV.BSS, Yuniasih yang merupakan mantan penjaga kasir saat perusahaan investasi abal –abal itu beroperasi menyampaikan, berdasarkan cacatan pembukuan yang dilakukan, pada saat beroperasi jumlah setoran nasabah dalam sehari mencapai Rp 2 miliar.
“ jumlah setoran nasabah yang menginvestasikan uang, dalam sehari rata-rata transaksi antara Rp 500 juta sampai Rp 2 miliar,”katanya.
Yuniati menyebutkan, selama bekerja di perusahaan yang beralamat di kampung Kampunmg Sidomulyo Wonosobo itu, dia bekerja sebagai penjaga kasir khusus menerima setoran dari para nasabah. Sedangkan untuk kasir yang memberikan bagi hasil kepada nasabah dikerjakan oleh karyawan lainnya.
“ Untuk bagian setoran nasabah, saya dan mbak Ririn,”katanya.
Berdasarkan buku cacatan setoran, Yuniati menyebutkan dari 6 buku besar yang berisi nama-nama nasabah yang menyetor. Dirinya pernah merekap secara keseluruhan, dari total jumlah setoran yang melalui pembukuan dia, investasi para nasabah di CV. BSS mencapai Rp. 108 miliar.
“ Jumlah yang saya sampaikan itu dari enam buku besar yang setoran melalui saya,”katanya.
Uang hasil setoran investasi para nasabah itu, kata Yuni, disetorkan kepada Tan Tandi Gunawan yang saat itu sebagai Direktur Utama CV. BSS. Apabila Tan tidak ada, maka uang akan disetorkan kepada Eko Cahyono sebagai Direktur Operasional.
“Tiap hari uang yang masuk kami setorkan kepada Pak Eko,”katanya.
Selain Yuni, dalam sidang juga dihadirkan Saksi lain, Hariyono Rangkuti yang sempat bekerja sebagai Koordinator pencari nasabah pada saat perusahaan itu beroperasi. Rangkuti mengaku keterlibatannya di perusahaan itu tidak dengan cara melamar. Namun akibat bujuk rayu yang dilakukan oleh Tan Tandi Gunawan dan Yuswendro serta Eko Cahyono.
“ kebetulan saya punya warung makan, mereka kerap rapat di tempat saya,”katanya.
Pada awalnya, Rangkuti mengaku tidak tertarik dengan tawaran investasi diperusahaan itu. Namun lambat laun karena sering ditawari dia terlibat sebagai Koordinator. Selain mencari nasabah, dia bahkan menjadi nasabah dan menanamkan uang senilai Rp 400 juta yang didapat dari penjualan aset moil miliknya.
“ selama menjadi coordinator, saya mendapatkan uang Rp 16 juta. namun uang pribadi saya yang saya tanamkan juga hilang mencapai Rp 400 juta,”katanya. (rase)

Pictured is one of the two-car ferries, Moil (1936), Cuillin (1942) or Lochalsh (I) (1951) which served on the crossing from Kyle of Lochalsh from 1936 to 1957. They were operated by the LMSR's then British Railways' Scottish shipping subsidiary, the Caledonian Steam Packet Company, until 1973 when the ferry were taken over by Caledonian MacBrayne.

Rock breaking is frequently employed for excavation, for extracting a large rock for removal. Mostly found in quarrying, in mining as well as in road construction or possibly a dam construction. Caisteal Maol (Gaelic: Caisteal, 'Castle', Maol, 'bare') is a ruined castle located near the harbour of the village of Kyleakin, Isle of Skye, Scotland. It is also known as Castle Moil, Castle Maol, Dun Akyn, Dunakin Castle Dun Haakon and Castle Dunakin.
The castle, an ancient seat of the Mackinnon clan, was a fortress commanding the strait of Kyle Akin between Skye and the mainland, through which all ships had to pass or else attempt the stormy passage of The Minch. The present building dates back to the 15th century, but is traditionally reputed to be of much earlier origin.

Castle Moil (Caisteal Maol). In the late 15th century, Clan Mackinnon moved from their earlier base at Dun Ringill, near Elgol, to this castle at Kyleakin, known as Dun Acainn at the time.
Early in the 17th century the clan moved on, and the castle gradually fell into disrepair leaving the ruin we see today.
Legend has it that a Norwegian princess, otherwise known as “Saucy Mary”, ordered a chain to be hung from the castle to the mainland so that no boat could pass without paying a tax.
