This is the module view for the course, depicting what the module will cover, and which of the course's instructors will be speaking. The goal of this course was to expose students to as many of the instructors of the Telecommunications department as possible, so each module was taught by someone different.
Instructor: Various
Artwork and CSS by Christopher Irvin, I was assisting producer to Ryan Yang on this course.

After several attempts, I've settled on this one.
28mm (=56mm on 4/3 sensor) f/11, using an old manual lens.
I used spot metering with 2.3ev over-exposure. I found spot metering gave a more accurate black, particularly on the compass face. Other metering modes needed a lot less over-exposure (around 0.3ev) but when the white was white, the black was dark grey.
I used a piece of glossy white card as a reflector to get rid of some odd reflections.
I tried smaller apertures, but they didn't get the lid so out of focus, which i an effect I like.
another picture had a lovely glow to the gold, but the sun's reflection meant that the white was a little muddied.
Its been fun, though a little frustrating getting there!
This is the first picture I took in this class. I think it has shown how much I have improve in this course. I like how I put the building in the corner in this picture and showed the sunset really well. Even though I didn’t use any indicators we learned in this class the picture still turn out pretty good. I think it was because the sunset was so beautiful. The thing I like the most in this picture would be the colors of the sky. It contains three different colors, green, blue and orange. Also the shadows of the building added a little mystery into this photography.

My first attempt at module 3's coursework. I didn't go out with the intention of doing the course work, i just had a go at the shot to see if it would work.
Unfortunately the trees aren't quite dark enough and the sky is a bit dark. I used evaluative metering. Think I will try spot metering in future.
I was at home this weekend with my family and decided to take pictures of the Merrill home from the “outsiders” perspective. I changed my ISO to 400 for most because it was cloudy, but also had a little bit of sun shining through. I put my white balance to auto to help me automatically balance the color. I had my aperature set to f/11 because there was sun shining on the items I was photographing.

I loved the color of the trees at the park. I thought the underside of the branches would be an interesting perspective to capture. I tried to capture the unique greens, reds, and browns found in the tree with a shallow depth of field. It was interesting attempting to get the right exposure on the needles while trying not to blow out the sky in the background.
