So this is how the walls would go in.
Each wall is just slightly shorter than the full length of the slot, so a neighbouring wall can jut up next to it.
Also, note that the strips of cardboard on the edges are not glued all the way to the bottom, 'cause that would prevent the wall from going into the slot.

The door section can be moved to the left or right of the window section or can be used alone.
More to come soon! Editing is getting better slowly.
Showing the sliding elevator doors. I really really wanted to make elevator doors that actually looked like elevator doors, and could slide open. Took me ages to get to this final solution.

Because my custom made but now defunct standing desk wouldn't fit in my teeny new space, I had redesign creatively. Now I have a sit/stand desk with the standing part completely modular. :)
The building interior is simple, and is divided into several themes. First it is the Star Wars zone, where guests can find a lot of Star Wars toy and apparels. You can also design your own lightsaber at the “Build Your Own Lightsaber” shelf, and I made reference from the existing shops in Disneyland.

A modular school.
Building instruction is available at: rebrickable.com/users/peedeejay/mocs/
Every city needs a school! The build spans among 3 baseplates and consists of 10 modules. The baseplates can be separated from each other for easy transportation. The complete model weighs about 10kg and has 14417 parts.
The front part contains the main entrance, some trees and a bus stop. The roof areas contain the ventilation units, photovoltaics and the clock.
The ground floor contains the main entrance hall with washrooms for boys and girls. The right wing of the ground floor contains a standard classroom for maths and literature. The left wing of the ground floor contains the music classroom, featuring a piano, drums and some other instruments.
The middle floor contains a cafeteria, where the students can get a quick bite and some refreshments. The left wing of the middle floor contains an IT-classroom and it seems the students are well stocked on mobile devices. The right wing of the middle floor contains the science classroom. At the moment some experiments are ongoing in the chemistry class.
The upper floor contains the library.

Here is another section of modular terrain. This time I chose to do a stream, since water is one of the areas where I think modular terrain standards could benefit from an update.
Here is the first module, showing the axles I have inserted in preparation for connecting the two modules.

Modular Bank. I've added some spotlights to light up the underside of the arch. I was also happy to discover that Duplo brick with the printed money pattern - perfect for a bank like this, and in white, too! Added some lighting to that as well - by using a piece that I've found more and more uses for :)
Our LUG's next building challenge is a modular standard building but only 8 studs wide. I randomly picked a blue and dark gray 8x16 so I thought it'd be neat to have a lake house. Of course, now I have to hope it'll eventually be displayed next to some water.
I kept the masonry bricks out of this because while it might look like it needs more detail on the outside, typical lake/beach houses are long slats. I thought it might look better.
Next step is to order all the parts I don't already have. I'm really happy with this one, so I hope it holds up IRL.
I put up some pictures of it a while ago, but now I made some better ones.

Vanessa's Modular Zombie Killing Weapon.
9 years after the zombie occupation of 90% of the landmass on Earth, what little amount of humanity that remained attempted to rebuild. However, there were far too many infected for any large-scale reconstruction. Still, there were small pockets of civilization beginning to sprout up created by the few survivors that could unite. One survivor, a young teenager who had grown up half of their life with zombies and just their father, was all by themself now. The teenager's father, who had been infected 8 years into the Z War, had taught everything he knew about zombies, survival, and military skills to his single offspring. The young professional zombie killer surprised everyone around in the surrounding area over the months after her father's death; fighting off numerous zombies, building a numerous near-indestructible safe-havens, and managing to save a few survivors were but a few of the things this young killer managed to accomplish. But this survivor was a wanderer at heart, and moved about the once beautiful country of the United States of America. A number of bandits, and there were a lot of them, under-estimated this lone survivor. Any and all who took from the weak and tried to destroy the growth of civilization would come to know this survivor's name well. Her name was Vanessa, and she was ready to kill anyone to give humans a chance.
Vanessa knew the need for many different types of weapons for various situations, but couldn't stand to give up her Father's weapon. So she created multiple ways for her one weapon to serve different roles. She limited the weapon to single fire, sawed off the stock, and shortened the barrel, among other things. And so the VMZKW was invented, using her father's M14 from his service in the American army during Vietnam. Heavily modified, of course.
