A homemade modest dwelling with a million dollar view, ocean and mountains.

Allium roseum " L'ail rosé " dans ma rocaille; est une des germes invasives de jardin les plus méconnues. Une espèce botanique de taille modeste, native du sud de l'Europe. La floraison rose clair prend la forme de petites ombelles composées de petites fleurs en cloches, mellifères, portées par des tiges de 30 cm de haut. Cette bulbeuse possède un charme très naturel sans être invasive. Elles fleurissent en retard au printemps avec ses fleurs colorées roses intenses; ces Alliums s'étaleront lentement dans les bordures ou allées du jardin pendant le mois de mai-juin. les fleurs sont excellentes pour la coupe afin de composer de merveilleux bouquets. Placez au soleil dans un sol bien drainé même rocailleux. Rusticité : jusqu'à -15°.

San Bernardo es una localidad de la provincia de Valladolid, en la C.A. de Castilla y León. Se trata de una población integrada en el municipio de Valbuena de Duero, que fue creada a mediados del siglo XX por el Instituto Nacional de Colonización junto al Monasterio de Santa María de Valbuena, cenobio fundado en el año 1143 (siglo XII) y perteneciente a la orden cisterciense. Pertenece a la comarca de Campo de Peñafiel.

MONASTERIO DE SANTA MARÍA DE VALBUENA: En el año 1950 la propiedad de este monasterio pasó al Instituto Nacional de Colonización. El objetivo de éste fue transformar la finca de 1.191 hectáreas, dentro de las cuales se encontraba este monasterio, en un poblado junto a él, así como la restauración del conjunto monumental. La iglesia se convertiría en la parroquia del nuevo pueblo de San Bernardo. En el año 1967 el arzobispado de Valladolid compró el resto de los edificios, que cedió a la Fundación de las edades del Hombre, para albergar su sede.

Es muy amplia e interesante la historia de este monasterio a través de sus casi 900 años de antigüedad y es también imposible describirla en estas modestas líneas. Sugiero y aconsejo se busquen sus detalles en Internet, seguro que disfrutaréis leyéndolos.

I shot this after a modest rainfall on a Saturday morning quite some time ago. I was surprised to come up on this scene.

I bumped the colors and increased the sharpening from the original. The bump of colors provided a pinkish hue in the puddle below.

The Rosefinch female has a modest color, but I think she is charming!)))

One of our most elegant breeding shorebirds, the Black-necked Stilt arrives in modest numbers each spring. For years after moving here I didn't see them; I just needed to find out where to look.

This location is a short hike from a parking area off an unpaved grid road (impassable when wet). In a shallow bay of a large lake, I lay flat on damp, pebbly shore, and photographed stilts, avocets, godwits, willets, phalaropes, spotted sandpipers, and more. I wish the water had been not quite so deep here, so we could see this bird's amazingly long legs. Nevertheless, the eye level view and decent light make this one a keeper - a shot that only four years ago seemed out of reach.

A modest cafe in Tbilisi, Georgia.

The church is a modest building that reflects the typical features of Romanian architecture: domed domed tower-domed, trilobated plant and porch on the façade. On the front opens the beautiful marble porch with five polychrome arcades supported by columns from the rich capitals resting on a fine travertine balustrade with vegetable and zoomorphic motifs. The arcade module continues, blind, across the entire outline of the building, above it runs a marble cornice with floral motifs that separate it from the top. The latter is decorated by a gouge frescoed with foliage and rhymed by medallions bearing the figures of Saints. It is accessed through a small nook, domed, separated by grooved marble columns.

La iglesia es un edificio modesto que refleja las características típicas de la arquitectura rumana: cúpula de cúpula de torre, planta trilobulada y porche en la fachada. En la parte delantera se abre el hermoso porche de mármol con cinco arcadas policromadas sostenidas por columnas de los ricos capiteles que descansan sobre una fina balaustrada de travertino con motivos vegetales y zoomorfos. El módulo de arcade continúa, ciego, a lo largo de todo el contorno del edificio, encima corre una cornisa de mármol con motivos florales que lo separan de la parte superior. Este último está decorado con una gubia pintada al fresco con follaje y rimada por medallones con las figuras de los santos. Se accede a través de un pequeño rincón, abovedado, separado por columnas de mármol acanaladas.

You've seen it a thousand times, but you're not tired of it yet. It's business as usual on the Montana Rail Link this afternoon as the ML rounds the bend at Jens, Montana and passes the "Second Most Photographed Barn in Montana" with a matched pair of Aussie SD70ACes and a modest-sized train of odds and ends to disperse throughout the trip. I thought about trying to shake it up a little bit as I followed the train east from Missoula, but I just couldn't help myself with this classic little post card.

Une nouvelle série. Rupture du format carré, pas de titre sinon que "gravé" sur chaque photo les coordonnées GPS "d'un lieu d'un instant revécu". En effet toutes les photos de cette série sont issues de mes 1ères photos faites en 2009 avec un modeste Samsung.

Merci à celui ci que j'ai épuisé, fini avec du Scotch pour son étanchéité ...

et qui m'a offert une "ouverture" au monde !

A new series. Out of square format, no title except that "engraved" on each photo GPS coordinates "a place of reliving a moment." In fact all the photos in this series are from my 1st photos made in 2009 with a modest Samsung.

Ammi Visnaga 'Green Mist' is an Egyptian wildflower similar to Queen Anne’s Lace.

It has longer stems, hardier blooms, and is lovely pale green.

Bishops Flower, Queen Annes are common names.

Bishop's Flower, or Queen Anne's Lace flowers are nectar rich and attractive to bees and butterflies.

Ammi ‘Casablanca’ is a wonderful border plant and good cut flower. It has larger, showier, more rounded umbels than Ammi majus.

Without doubt one of the best filler-foliage plants you can grow and a flower arrangers dream.

Ammi Casablance is easy to grow and adds a delicate airiness to any sunny or partially shaded border.

Caution: The sap from these plants can irritate the skin and may cause blistering when exposed to the sun.
