This is again redone as a result of a critique I received (original).

This series was to be filled by ringflash, but I liked the result of the rim test by itself.

Strobist: 2 B800s in strip boxes right/left and slightly behind model, f/8. Triggered by Pocket Wizards.

Just back from a trip to Italy and until I get some shots processed you'll have to make do with a few more colourful portraits of Purpleport alternative model Sukinya on the Amaran Lighting stand at the recent Photography Show in London.

I took a few shots every time I passed the stand and I have to say of all the models I photographed at the Show, Sukinya was the one who always looked like she was having fun. Her posing was pretty incredible too, effortlessly changing pose every few seconds but never seeming to repeat herself...... This was the afternoon of the third day and she was still incredibly animated and enthusiastic.

Ksaundra B did her own wardrobe and makeup. She also painted the pointe shoes.

Strobist: basically glamor lighting. Key is an Elinchrom Quadra in a deep octa, boomed over camera, f/11. 2 B1600s in reflective umbrellas for the background, f/16. Triggered by Pocket WIzards.

PP in LR3/CS5.

There is not a whole lotta post. Ksaundra is just naturally gorgeous.

Brandi is a body builder who is entering a fitness competition. I would say her level of fitness is high. She is also quite beautiful (I know I had to tell you that); I removed a couple of small blemishes but that was it for post. No general skin retouching.

Strobist: Key is an X1600 in a white 86" PLM in shoot-thru mode, camera left, f/11 at ISO 200. The background is lit with 2 B800s in reflective umbrellas, 1/2 stop over.

Went to my first studio Lighting course today and has a brilliant time. Highly recommend it. Big thank you to my tutor Dave Stanway and to our lovely models, Sarah and Amy.

I shot this originally for Project 52 Pro Assignment 2

This is definitely a fashion shot, but I liked it. The inspiration piece is lit with much harder light. I think this is more my style. I also didn't go as far with post, although, again, the contrast may be due to printing. However, I now wish I had used the Maxi Lite and shot it that way.

I know Zack Arias said not to bother shooting fashion unless you are in NY or Paris or maybe seasonally in Miami (which is down the road a bit) but I just liked the image. ;)
