This is a kit I found on eBay a few years back. The plastic has an aluminum coating to resemble the real aircraft finish. Back in the 1960s I built the Hawk kit Lockheed U2, that had the same treatment. Unfortunately the U2 ended up looking a little too shiny and chrome-like to be realistic.
because TB4 is awesome. always was, and always will be.
(I´ve been in love with TB4 and her pilot since I was a kiddie, and some things just stay, no matter what)

Tamiya scale model kit in 1/48th scale.
Model represented will be "Snortin'Bull' as flown by Capt. James Mulling, 507 Fighter Squadron, 404 Fighter Group, based at Saint-Trond airbase in 1944.
I've assembled several Gundam model kits before but this was the first time I took it a bit further than just piecing it together. I went in and did some basic paint work and line detailing. unfortunately there is a piece missing from the forehead assembly and one of the "spikes" of the yellow part in the forehead assembly has been broken off due to transportation and storage. I had put this together a while back and moved since then. Just recently I had the urge to do more with it and gave it a proper photo session. Since it is a little damaged, I'm thinking of making it into a battle damaged project in the near future.
The set up I used was 2 desk lamps, a couple of soft boxes that I fashioned out of cardboard and the tissue paper usually used to stuff gift bags, and a flat black poster board that I smeared gold glitter craft glue on.
