If you are in Amsterdam, the canal houses offer a beautiful backdrop. Whether it's Amsterdam or Strijp-S, I often look up the locations, together with the models, where I see a repetition in terms of color tones.
Many shades of color that you see in her clothing are reflected in the environment in a certain gradation.
Furthermore, such a staircase helps to build a pose more easily. But by taking the time, communicating with the model and fine-tuning, you ensure that the dots are put on the i's and cross the t's.

An old factory hall, consisting of old walls and large windows and a pallet in the foreground, as a repoussoir, to enhance the depth in this photo. This is an easy and simple setting for this photo.
At that moment Ilse was standing in front of the camera for another photographer. But from my position, I found the combination between the stylish of Ilse Visser and the urbex look of the Art for You studio a nice contrast.

Sometimes you don't need much to let a photo speak, dark brown tones that set the mood in the photo set the mood and bright colors to make the model stand out.
The chair also helps more to get a nice natural powerful pose to complete the picture.

Another simple setting of a black container in the background. Yes she could have been placed left or right of center, but in the middle of the photo I also found an option.
There's no right or wrong.

Location: The Veemgebouw in Eindhoven. This location includes the ground floor of a vershal, where small shops sell their products, a nice location with different atmospheric delights, a location is a Wine & Nut position.
In this entire shoot, I made use of the light that enters the building through the windows and the present can light.
You can play here quite nicely with the environment and by putting objects of focus in the foreground (repoussoir), give more depth to an image.
This location I will visit often.
