This car is based on a car assembled in the B&O's DuBois shops from a Thrall supplied kit in 1965.

The model is based on a Moloco GATC RBL with the details changed to better represent the Thrall car. These changes include a new shape to the side sill, rivets on the car end, new door stops, different stirrup steps, and modifying the ladders from the GATC style.

I used decals from six different sets to assemble what was needed to letter this car.

It is shown here on my layout.

My friend John is a model railroader and invited me to photograph some of his trains and layout.

Having some fun with long exposures, we drove Georgie's train around his layout with no light except for the EOT and the headlight, and got some exciting results.

This car is a GM&O rebuild for appliance service.

It started as an Intermountain modified 10'6" high 40' boxcar. I sanded off the rivets and added a new side sill. It got Kadee 9' doors, new door tracks, and Archer weld seams for the panel lines.

The car was finished with Model Master burnt Sienna and Dan Kohlberg's decals.

In 1964, L&N rebuilt 400 former NC&StL 40' boxcars at their South Louisville shops. These rebuilds featured door openings widened to 8' with replacement Pullman doors and reinforcing gussets at the door opening.

This is a model of one of those cars. It is an Atlas/Branchline 40' boxcar with 8' door. The kit door was replaced by a Kadee Pullman door. I added door gussets with .005 styrene and Archer rivets. It was finished with Model Master paint and decals from Champ, Microscale, and some Sunshine chalk marks.

NYC 858-B converted with stage loaders for appliance service.

This car started as an Atlas/Branchline 8' door 40' boxcar. I subbed Despatch ends and a shortened Despatch roof from a 50' kit, changed the side sill, and added riveted gussets by the doors to match the prototype photo.

It was finished with my own mix of Jade Green and Microscale decals.

A Chicago-style angled corner building that is 3d printed and uses scrap kit remnants. Commercial on the ground floor with four levels of converted space into apartments, the top two are a modern addition. I built this to compliment a flat-iron highrise kit I already had.

This building was inspired by the sign I found online.
