Old Hastings, as viewed from West Hill, given the 'tilt-shift' treatment to simulate a miniature or model effect - 08.04.2015
Strobist info: Used a Nikon SB25 as fill-in flash to my right triggered by gadget infinity wireless transmitter/receivers.
Model: Alexis Miller
Lighting: Bare Alien Bee 800 outside the building to to camera right shooting through vertical slats, natural light through a large door to camera right and behind the camera. That same door light reflecting off of a concrete floor.
Even tho this outfit worked, it sort of made Alexia look 15 years older. Also, I did not really like this backdrop....it will probably go to the bottom of the heap.
Strobist:
two Sigma 500 Super DG's on stands 6' high 8' away from the model in the back from both sides at 45 degree 50mm zoom to create separation
a SB-28 into a soft box out of the frame on camera left at 1/2 power
(triggered by Cactus V2)
ISO 200
Av: f/6.3
Tv: 2.5 sec
It was a cold foggy night and the light and the background was too beautiful to be ignored, so I had to drag the shutter to pick up enough ambient and the model had to stay still for 3–4 sec.
