Four hundred and forty people were served at the Westport Lions mobility van breakfast at The Cove. A special thank you to The Cove, Delbert Adrain, Bryan Colford and the many volunteers that helped raise $6,027 to enable the Lions to maintain this very valuable service. Thank you to everyone for their support.
The session is organised by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Costa Rica and the Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration (SIECA), and is moderated by Francisco Lima Mena, Secretary General, SIECA. Speakers include Pablo Camacho Salazar, Vice Minister of Infrastructure, Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT), Costa Rica; Pablo Camacho Salazar, Vice Minister of Infrastructure, Ministry of Public Works and Transports (MOPT), Costa Rica; Yoshimichi Terada, Vice Minister of International Affairs, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), Japan; and Mayumi Tanabe, Expert of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in SIECA. The session presents the Central American Regional Master Plan on Mobility and Logistics 2035, featuring 374 projects across 11 strategic corridors to enhance competitiveness, integration, and transport resilience in the region. This session takes place during the International Transport Forum’s 2025 Summit “Transport Resilience to Global Shocks” held on 21 May 2025 in Leipzig, Germany.

NETWERKVORMING, KENNISDELING EN CONCREET ZAKEN DOEN STAAN CENTRAAL.
Tijdens Mobility Monday brengen we de belangrijkste spelers bijeen via een reeks van netwerklunches: de grote werkgevers uit de regio, landelijke aanbieders en ontwikkelaars van mobiliteitsdiensten en mobiliteitsspecialisten van de Provincie, Gemeente en Rijkswaterstaat. Tijdens korte workshops en een-op-een sessies gaan we op zoek naar concrete oplossingen en bieden we praktische ondersteuning om de juiste partijen bij elkaar te brengen. Via de website en nieuwsbrief willen we kennismaking en kennisdeling faciliteren en bieden we bedrijven ook de kans om input te geven voor bijeenkomsten of andere ideeën.
This map shows the difference sidewalk conditions on the site. The areas of clear, easy to walk on sidewalk are shown with dotted lines indicating where there are obstacles on the sidewalk in the form of overgrowth, parked cars, etc. The Solid, light lines indicate where the sidewalk ends, or where there is no sidewalk at all. I used this information to begin to connect areas of overgrowth or no sidewalk and formed zones that are unfriendly to pedestrians.
There are only 2 bus routes (12 BUS and 64 BUS) that actually travel through the Gray's Ferry site. The third one (29 BUS) is just outside the confines of our site. This shows how limited the site is to bus access. The next step would be to find how long it would take for a person walking from several different points on the site to access either the 12 BUS or the 64 BUS .
This map shows the bike time from the site in 5 minute intervals from 5 to 25 minutes. The routes were mapped out according to the bike paths from my other mappings and various places where people may want to bike to (Fairmount Park, Rittenhouse, etc.)
These maps show the range difference in how far one can venture from the site by foot or by bicycle in a 15, 30, 45, or 60 minute time period. The next iterations will start to become more specific taking into account diff speeds depending on traffic, road conditions, and routes.
