An electric bus is moving on a central street in Hanoi, environmentally friendly transport solution to reduce greenhouse gas emissions with new electric buses is helping Vietnam combat climate change. ADB has mobilized about $135 million in financing to help Vinfast, a Vietnamese company, produce and expand the use of electric buses across Vietnam. The VinFast electric buses funded by this green loan are expected to reduce Vietnam’s GHG emissions by an estimated 155,000 tons over their lifetime and help Vietnam meet its commitments to the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
