Description: IN PROGRESS: Joint pain in my hips is a symptom I deal with on a daily basis. Although stiffness and swelling can happen from time to time, more often than not my hip joints feel like they're burning. Having said that, this is something I don't think I can fully blame on any disease or ailment I may have. As much as I value the lessons and skills gained while participating in a sport through college, I am curious to see the long-term effects of all the training I did as a kid. I wanted to abstract the image of a hipbone, joint, and socket by rotating the composition and using colors that may seem more appropriate for painting a mountain landscape. My hope is that this painting will inspire activity rather than dwell on the challenges associated with my mobility. $750 (Artist# 29)

From October 11-15, EcoCAR teams traveled in 2 separate waves to the General Motors Milford Proving Ground to participate in Vehicle Technical Inspections (VTI) for the Workshop and Vehicle Event (WAVE). Each team’s 2019 Chevrolet Blazer had the opportunity to be inspected by a robust group of competition inspectors.
