Team 3:

The European Mobility Week: In chaotic Tirana, we can save time, money and energy - this is how :

Ecovolis, the bike sharing initiative of Tirana, promotes in the Albanian capital alternative means of transport, showing thus that we can ‘survive’ even without cars.

During the weekend of 21 – 23 September, the activists of Ecovolis surprised the inhabitants of Tirana. “ The message that we want to spread is that nowadays, the car should be bused only in cases when the other means of transport cannot be of help. Its cost is really high not only for the environment, but also for our pocket, that is why it is absurd to see so many cars in a small and flat city like Tirana” says Ened Mato, the director of Ecovolis, who believes that this year, apart from its message, the European Mobility Week in Albania must offer real possibilities for the citizens to understand that the environmental protection is an issue that concerns each and every one of us.

For all the citizens, who will hand their car keys during this weekend, Ecovolis offers a yearly subscription for the bike sharing system.

At the bike stations, fluorescent painting will be used for the bicycle tires, in order to transform the riders into real street painters, who will leave their ‘bike-print’ on the, overwhelmed by cars, streets of Tirana.

‘Star Ride’ a massive bike ride, powered by the Ecovolis bicycles, showed the passers by, that the community of riders in Tirana is quite important and they rights shall start being respected.

“We concieve the use of the public transports, not only as a way to reduce pollution, but also as a way to save time, energy, stress and money. Bicycle shouldn’t be the means of the poor, but the means of all the inhabitants of smart and educated cities.” Says Ela Hyseni, activist of Ecovolis.

My last entry into the Overwatch Nendoroid book is none other than Hanzo, the archer. Specializing in mobility, various stealthy arrow attacks, and his Ultimate move, the Dragonstrike. The contents of the box are pretty much that - the figure, an angry face late, two arrows (one regular, one Sonic), bow, Dragonstrike effect, forearm effect, several hands, and of course the typical Nendoroid stand with effects mounting arm. As with all other Nendoroids, the figure is designed with a Chibi art style, focusing on the cute rather than the detail side of things. Hanzo is a bit on a the slimmer side which makes handling his parts a bit more challenging for me, but I suspect Junkrat was a bit on the chunky side and is an anomaly.

Articulation is what I'm guessing is standard for action body Nendoroid males, namely ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, bicep swivel, elbow bend, wrists, and neck. No mid torso articulation or waist, but there are a few additional points of articulation in the ponytail and sash you attach to the body, as well as the quiver on his back. As expected, you can get the figure into decent poses, but nothing that will blow your mind.

Paint and build quality are top notch, as I expect from any and all Good Smile product. Paint applications are clean and crisp, with no overspray, poor masking or uneven application. Decals are sharply produced and applied on precisely, with some excellent work on the dragon for the shoulder, which carriers across all parts of the arm perfectly. Even the teeth, typically a weak spot on figures, is done appropriately, with just enough detailing to show it is teeth, but not so much that it crowds the space or is difficult to actual produce in figure form. Material choices are good and of course joints hold poses perfectly. There are also no issues with tolerances or other QC matters. As stated nothing really to complain about here as it is business as usual.

And that's really all there is to say about this figure. it's run of the mill for Good Smile Company, which is always a good thing. Being a Nendoroid, it's not going to blow your mind with regards to what it can actually do. But it is cute, and that's the name of the game for this line of figures, and with enough of them you can have an army of giant headed toddlers lining your shelves.

I've got a few more Nendoroids, but those aren't Overwatch or even human, so it'll be interesting to see how those turned out. What are they? You'll have to stay tuned to find out.
