Ribble Buses inherited a pair of Optare Metroriders from Lancaster City Transport when that company ceased operations. Both these were in advertising liveries and remained in the Lancaster area unlike the Atlanteans inherited from the same source, which were transferred to Preston. These Metroriders were re-registered before passing to Stagecoach, this example; 449, K 449 YCW having been ML3, K 300 LCT in the L.C.T. fleet, was pictured on the Vale Estate returning to Lancaster city centre, the driver having not changed the destination display. This route was the regular haunt for this pair of Metroriders.
My friend was getting a new kitten for her mother an called this cute little ball of fun Gingy as a temporary name that has now stuck lol.

Well actually the cannon next to this made it look like a pea shooter, even though it's a 81mm F2 mortar!
Further info Link
The United Kingdom's L16 81 mm mortar is the standard mortar used by the British army. The version used by the U.S. armed forces is known as the M252. The version produced and used by Australia is named the F2 81mm Mortar.
It was introduced in 1965/6 replacing the Ordnance ML 3 inch Mortar.
In armoured or mechanised battalions the L16 mortar is mounted on a vehicle, usually the FV 432 AFV. In light role battalions it is normally carried on a vehicle but fired from the ground. It can also be broken down and man-packed by the mortar detachment, but this is pretty unpleasant for all involved and is generally to be avoided. The ammunition in this case would be carried by the rest of the battalion - each man carrying two greenies (four bombs) in addition to his own personal kit.
The ground is actually grass, the pattern you can see is camerflarge net.

Love this shot
Thought about getting a D7200
What would be the point?
I might buy a professional DX camera if Nikon ever put it out
My D7000 might be old but it really does make beautiful images.
I've got a Tokina 11-16, which is also fantastic.
This lot just goes into my car and I don't have to stress about damaging it.
Here is my wishlist for the D400 or whatever Nikon will call it:
24MP
10 FPS
4k video
Lots of focus points and group focus
Big buffer
Pro build
User presets
Uses ML3 remote for Long exposure shots
Nikon D7000
Tokina 11-16
