New views into my "Robotech Factory" kit, which sees its 2nd life with lots of modifications (as replacements and enhancements for poor or damaged original parts).

Here we see Hikaru's famous white VF-1J (an ARII kit, not included in the original Factory kit, built straight out of the box with some joint modifications and weathering) after some hot duty outside, while a silent Destroid Defender passes the scene in the background on its fladbed transport, waiting for the gate to opened.

As an addition to the older paper print scans, the hangar is now populated with 1:100 figures. Most of them were contained in the original kit, plus some Preiser technicians in 1:100 scale. Funny thing is that the original figures are much smaller than the Caucasian Preiser figures... well, that's the clash of cultures, I guess?

The small vehicles are also 1:100 scale models, they come from a company called Roskopf (long, long gone) which spezialized in military vehicle in this unusual scale. These small trucks are called "KraKa" (Kraftfahrzeug mit Kettenantrieb) and were used by the German Bundeswehr army for airborne operations. Here they make neat utility vehicles, tugging jet engines and ammunition.

The whole factory sits in a wooden transport box with neon lighting from above - this is the actual light in the picture, no extra light was used, and it matches the cold hangar atmosphere well?

Besides, the sides of the wood box are covered with mirror foil - to be seen behind the Defender. Great effect for depth, and it enhances light distribution, too.

Jaguar 420G 1970. The Jaguar MkX gave way to the 420G in 1966, but the differences were very subtle and not enough to drag people into the showroom. In 1970 Jaguar culled the 420G and went for a one model policy for saloons with the XJ6 and left the aging E-Type to deal with the sporting customers.

This Scania L94UB/Wright Solar is seen Heworth Bus Interchange on the 52 Gateshead service. YN51MKX wears branding for "The Orbit" service and has since been branded for "Prince Bishops" services. It was new to Ludlows, Halesowen and one of it's sisters are also up with GNE.

The 2007 MKX debuted in December 2006 as a rebadged variant of the Ford Edge. In addition to the chrome grille, the MKX's front fascia features projector-beam headlight assemblies with standard chrome-accented fog lights mounted in the lower fascia. In the rear, the MKX features dual chrome exhaust tips and brake lights backlit by LEDs with a light bar that crosses the MKX's liftgate.

As a rebadged variant of the Ford Edge, the MKX also shares Ford's CD3 platform, unibody construction. Front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is optional.[8]

The MKX comes with standard 18-inch machined aluminum wheels with 18-inch chrome wheels optional. The sole powertrain in the MKX is an all-aluminum, 3.7-liter Duratec DOHC V6 mated to Ford's 6F50 6-speed automatic transmission. Like the Edge, which shares the powertrain, the MKX's engine produces 265 hp (269 PS; 198 kW) at 6,250 rpm and 250 lb⋅ft (339 N⋅m) of torque at 4,500 rpm; noticeable improvements over what the Aviator Concept's engine was rated at. The MKX, Edge, and Lincoln MKZ were the first recipients of Ford's 3.5-liter Duratec V6.

Very original, looks to have covered just 30,000 miles from new, it looked immaculate too.

The Mark X was introduced as Jaguars top of the line model replacing the Mk.IV as the companies largest saloon car. The unitary construction body-shell was codenamed "Zenith" during development and this floor pan continued in production long after Mark X production ended, as the DS 420 Limousine. With a new style four headlamp front and vaned grille the model remained ne of the widest production Jaguars ever built until the 1992 arrival of the XJ220 supercar.

The interior was the last Jaguar with abundant standard woodwork, including the dashboard, escutcheons, window trim, a pair of large bookmatched fold out rear picnic tables, and a front seat pull-out picnic table stowed beneath the instrument cluster. Later, air conditioning and a sound-proof glass division between the front and rear seats were added as options

The car had coil spring front suspension, independant rear suspension, limited slip diff with power steering standard.

Aimed at the United States market, the car was powered by an XK series 3,8 litre engine on introduction, until1964 when the model was updated with a 4.2 litre version and other modifications.

In 1967 the model was further updated as the Jaguar 420G with minor styling changes larger fuel tanks and more interior space.

Launched in October 1991 as the kissin cousin to the Opel Astra F, it was offered as a a 3 or 5 door Hatch, Saloon and an Estate. A cabriolet was also offered, designed and built by Bertone in Italy. Designated the Astra F the 3rd Generation Astra was essentially an evolution of the 2nd Generation. While Vauxhall had retained the Astra name, this generation was the first to be called Astra by Opel (succeeding the Kadett E), and the first to also be sold by Holden..

While the Astra F ceased production in Germany in 1998, production continued in Poland for sales to Central and Eastern Europe and Turkey as the Astra Classic from 1998-02.
