Mitchell Library, Celtic Connections

Muses adorn the facade of the Mitchell.

What a great day - a workshop in the Mitchell library, Glasgow. And a tour afterwards - up through the public spaces, and down via the stacks.

Through these patterned windows you can just see the high arched glass ceiling over the former main reading room. Now empty - I think they use it for events.

Those bags are apparently the Library's supply for this delivery ramp. Frightening, that they'd need so much, as the only roadway they HAVE is this one ramp!

Mitchell Library statue - probably need to use a real camera, here, but there're anti-bird devices affixed to every surface.
