We take care of Katie Parx's family while she is gone, but there is no one left to take care of us, so we decided to take care of each other.

Chance and I "chanced" upon each other last night. We are growing closer as friends. We both happened to be readying for bed, She agreed to sleep over with Hobbes and I as Hobbes is a very Brave and Handsome Tiger.
We miss our Katie so very much, but know that she can't control when she can be on. In the meantime, Chance and I take care of each other.
Last night she needed to be held tight and reassured. I was happy to oblige.
I love this pretty girl. She has rapidly become a nice friend.
We will be ok. PK will be back sooner then later. In the meantime, Chance and I watch out for each other. We check in every day and do our best to cover what Ms Katie Parx was able to give both of us. - unconditional love and caring.
Sleep well pretty girl...We are in good hands until PK gets back - each others.

I have been sick for a couple of days - So posting these to catch up my 366 obligations
I can’t remember every moment of this day, but what I do remember is having one of the most enjoyable experiences in my SL journey. (getting to hang out with one of the coolest people in the world). I may have not known yet how important you would be to me, and that you were going to become my best friend and lover. But I’m so happy we crossed each other’s paths. I absolutely love this picture because it is like a core memory of that day we spent together on the beach, dancing, conversing and just enjoying each other’s company. I’ll never forget it babe. I love you.
Today would have been my sweet Mom's birthday. Wish you were still here with us, miss & love you so much! Hope you're celebrating with Dad & everyone up there in Heaven. Buon Compleanno =)

My daughter Allyson came home for a visit from college this weekend. I love having her home...listening to her joke around with her brothers... hearing her play the piano... hanging out putting together puzzles or playing cards... baking cookies together... going out for lunch or coffee to catch up on how things are going for her...talking about God, politics and gas prices.
But at some point after she leaves again, the let down always comes. Today is one of those days. This morning I went into her room to straighten it up and strip her sheets for laundering. I didn't get that far. Instead I ended up grabbing her pillow and holding it tightly, breathing in her scent that still faintly lingered there.
You would think after two years of her being "on her own" I would deal with her going back to school a bit better, but I just can't help it, dang it! I miss her like crazy when she's gone.
I had a wonderful German Shepard/BorderCollie/Sure? cross named "Winnie" in Real Life...I say "had" because she passed away on Saturday, February 1st...
She had a seizure Friday night which was known to happen with her, but it didn't stop and got worse through the night. All throughout, there was a bad blizzard blowing outside which didn't help things at all. My other dog Jester and I stayed with her all night, comforting her as her body shook and she stayed so confused..
I didn't sleep a wink so I could call the vet when they opened.
Something was very wrong with my little girl...
Sadly, a rain tumour was what was wrong and it wasn't going to get better...so Jester and I were with her when she crossed over. She needed the confusion to stop and the pain.
Winnie had saved my life many times over 10 years and loved Jester and I honestly and truly as we did her...
I miss her very, very much as does Jester. She helped him overcome past trauma so much when I took him in. I've never seen a stronger pair bond...
Jester and I are having to adapt to a rather large hole in our lives where the love of Winnie was. We're trying our best, but we both still grieve very much. We will for some time...
In Second Life, Winnie is there still..also still purple and still painted like a Day of the Dead character - ironic now. She enjoyed being purple though tbh...
She will roam the beach in front of my SL home forever with Jester and play play play by the water's edge as she loved to do in Real Life.
This photo I took a few years ago of her and I at sunset in Second Life. The look of her here matched how she was in real life - looking at you with love and caring always. Intelligence and imagination always working with her.
It is one of the photos the Flickr servers "ate" for unknown reasons that Flickr found again for me with 123 others, but all their stories, their journaling...gone...
Now I will use it as a fitting photo of Winifred and I on the beach just being together like we were in Real Life.
I love you very much Winnie wherever you are now. I hope Dad and Auntie have found you. I know they loved you dearly too.

What I a asking for is really very ridiculous. Oh Lord, I am saying, at present I am a cheese, make me a mystic, immediately. But then God can do that-make mystics out of cheeses. But why should He do it for an ingrate slothful & dirty creature like me. I can’t sty in the church to say a Thanksgiving even, and as for preparing for Communion the night before-thoughts all elsewhere. The rosary is mere rote for me while I think of other and usually impious things. But I would like to be a mystic and immediately. But dear God please give me some place, no matter how small, but let me know it and keep it.
