Miss you, everyday.
Thanks for teaching me:
to smell trees,
to notice the number of pine needles in a bunch,
that watching birds for their entertainment value is a noble pursuit,
to enjoy walking on dirt paths before they're gone,
to drink strong coffee,
to appreciate ugly dogs,
to overhaul an entire engine by myself,
to dig roots music and Johnny Cash and The Beatles 'cuz those boys can PLAY (even if they needed some gawd-damned haircuts),
how to shave,
that flying the FLAG doesn't label you as a conservative but shows you remembered other's sacrifices for your right to not fly one,
to help the other guy,
not to be afraid of getting dirty and sweaty while you're working but try to find a job where you don't have to. Much.
the lawn will wait - watching the sunset won't,
to laugh until your teeth fall out and you fart in front of company - and my dates,
driving at a reasonably safe speed is a requirement to driving longer in life,
guns have nothing to do with being a man - but bb guns are fun as hell,
that if you want to dig ditches to pay the rent be the best sumbitch on the crew,
that once you make love to a woman you won't want to give it up,
seconds on banana pudding is necessary,
fishing has nothing to do with catching,
how to build a house,
and to love fiercely.
See you on the other side. Bait the hook and put on the coffee pot. Be there in a blink of an eye.

dear friends!! it has been weeks since i began this tale... and since i last responded to your comments. summer has passed into autumn, and outside the rain is falling, falling. but tonight, please join me as we continue our journey into another world, a world that appeared only briefly when summer was ending and the magic of autumn had just begun to stir...
at the end of our journey, we will find a teahouse where we may share our travelers' tales. the kettle will be on, and our cups will be waiting. will you continue this journey with me?
may all travelers find joy!!

This is for my 7 month son Vihaan who is away for few days. Tapping his tambourine Vihaan seeks to get attention of everyone around and gives a big smile as you look at him. It's one of his favorite activities.
I am dedicating this series of pictures to the parents of #TerrorAttack in #Peshawar, #Pakistan who lost their children in dastardly and most cowardly terrorist attack on 16/12/2014.
"Son absence nous coupe 1'appetit".
Since his depart we've lost our appetites.
This series of WW1 postcards was produced and sold in France and would have been used by both British and French soldiers to send home to their loved ones.

If I had a flower for every time I thought about you, I could walk in my garden forever...

This is a rework on Eleonore series. Paris January 2008.
I got inspired after a visit at Location One, a gallery in Soho, by a series of triptics by Tseng Yu-Chin.
Tseng compares this layering process to coming to terms with his own emotions. The idea behind Fever sprung from the artist’s exacerbated reactions in his initial contact with the city. In his desire to counterbalance personal feelings of alienation and displacement prompted by an unfamiliar terrain, the artist chose to create these photographs, which attempt to translate what a child might do and feel in this type of situation.
Hold me in your thoughts, take me in your dreams
Touch me as I fall from view

A dear soul, passed on this week from a long, tough fight with breast cancer. Kitty's smile lights up the world and it will shine in all of our hearts forever.
Nestled in between the gorse bushes on Blackford Hill and in the shadow of Arthur's Seat is this memorial bench, and someone had laid pink roses on it this afternoon. I found it very touching.
Lady Vervaine is on the road again, travelling until the end of June, so there'll be no more Flickring for me for a while...
I will miss you all, but I will be back. Till then – take good care of yourselves & stay fabulous :)
A couple of cards I made for OWH. I love the new HA alphabet bg! And I thought this Ali Edwards sentiment was a good choice for OWH.

We’re back into the swing of things. The tinychats every night, texting more, being 3500 miles apart, all of that. But I’m so lucky I have you. Truly. You’ve turned my whole life around. This whole long distance thing will be tough, hell it already is, but you’re worth it. You’re worth all the pain and the tears. We can do this. Forever and a day. <#
Even without her cape and boots, she's still my superhero.
7 days has turned into 10. While I endured over 3 weeks less than a year ago (was it really that soon?) it doesn't make it any easier this time, nor, I doubt, the next.
I miss you, Punkin.
I don't think I've ever put one of these up so late in the day...huh.
Dessert while watching "Chaplin"...vanilla ice cream and raspberry sorbet. One has nothing to do with the other.

The Cementerio de la Recoleta in Buenos Aires is celebrated as one of the world's great cemeteries for good reason. But the more modest Cementerio General in Santiago deserves every bit as much attention. I could post a picture like this every day for a week from just this one part of the Cementerio General.
Aférrate a mi mano, aunque yo no esté junto a ti.
