A mint moth (Pyrausta aurata, Goldzünsler / Minzenmotte) perching was flying around and resting on sseveral plants in our garden..
Engine 16 looks like it just came off the factory floor at Baldwin......can you tell it's over 100 years old?!? One can only dream of looking and moving as well as 16 at that age! The Baldwin-built Mikado pulled a morning Freight Train on both mornings of the 2023 Winter Spectacular and I was lucky enough to get a seat on the second day. I can't wait to spend a lot more time there in Rockhill PA, now that steam has returned to the region!
This charming terrace of flintstone cottages is located in Banstead, Surrey, in south-east England. The properties were built in the mid-1860s to house agricultural workers, most of whom earned their living on the land at Mint Farm a few yards down the road.
As the name implies, this was a mint-growing district (which, incidentally, also produced lavender and camomile). Today, these well-preserved cottages are part of a conservation area.

Ai gente, apesar de eu ter amado a cor e o vidrinho e de a secagem ser bem rápida, o esmalte em si é péssimo. Parece uma cola, sofri muito pra esmaltar. Isso também aconteceu com vocês?
Hoje foi uma saga pra pintar as unhas... Não vou escrever tuuudo aqui de novo porque já coloquei lá no blog. Também tirei várias fotos dele, porque é muito fofinho! Mas se um dia eu refizer a tag dos 7 pecados capitais dos esmaltes, ele vai aparecer na parte da relação de amor e ódio, hahaha.

These little mint moths don't hang around in my garden for very long so it was lovely to see this little one enjoying the flowers! Happy Monday folks hope it's a good week for us all.
The tower was originally part of the Regulierspoort, one of the main gates in Amsterdam's medieval city wall. The gate, built in the years 1480,[1] consisted of two towers and a guard house.
After the gate went up in flames in a 1618 fire, only the guard house and part of the western tower remained standing. The tower was then rebuilt in Amsterdam Renaissance style in 1620,[1] with an eight-sided top half and elegant open spire designed by Hendrick de Keyser,[1] featuring a clockwork with four clockfaces and a carillon of bells.
The name of the tower refers to the fact that the guard house on side of it was used to mint coins in the 17th Century. In the Rampjaar ("disastrous year") of 1672, when both England and France declared war on the Dutch Republic and French troops occupied much of the country, silver and gold could no longer be safely transported to Dordrecht and Enkhuizen (where coins were normally minted), so the guard house of the Munttoren was temporarily used to mint coin.
The present guard house is not the original medieval structure but a 19th-century fantasy. The original guard house, which had survived the fire of 1618 relatively unscathed, was replaced with a new building during 1885-1887 in Neo-Renaissance style. The architect was Willem Springer An underpass between the tower and the building was made during the 1938-1939 renovation.
The Munttoren received new extra foundations to prevent it from sagging during construction of the Noord/Zuidlijn, the new metro line. The city has allocated 1.9 million euros for this purpose, according to a May 17, 2006 report in the newspaper Het Parool.

Monarda citriodora -- The genus name honors Nicholas Monardes, a Spanish physician from Seville who wrote about New World medicinal plants in the 1500s. The specific epithet comes from Latin "citrus" and "odoro" to "give a fragrant smell".
It was about 1/2" to 3/4" in size.

Obviously not former First Manchester (and Diamond) Eclipse 66983 KX05MHM nor the unidentified ex Weymouth Scania Omnicity, still in First Urban. Instead, this shot of Buses of Somerset Darts has a pair of Darts with a green heritage.
After a life in Cornwall, 42563 SN05DZZ has joined some others in a last hurrah in Somerset though still retaining their slightly different Kernow colours. Meanwhile, late model 42966 WX06ONA had escaped Bristol and has acquired BoS green having previously worn a mint green scheme in its old home.
