Anyway, here we are at about noon on Saturday, our first show of the Mint Festival. The guy performing his electronic music is the bassist for a different band, so Matt (unaware of what style he would be performing) wanted to catch him. I agreed, as solo projects by bassists are usually great (The Peacemakers, Akiko Hamada, Gary Willis, arguably even Sting). But as it turns out, with only one performer playing mostly canned music, it was great listening but not a worthwhile live show. We could have slept in longer. The sunshine didn't go unwanted though.
I really don't like mint tea but right now I have a belly ache and mint tea helps a lot.
Today has been really productive, we finally have a vegetable patch planted up. We were out digging until 8 and still went for a run. After all that I am rather miffed to to be feeling ill

I had mint buttercream leftover from a cake and I didn't want to throw out yet another batch. So I made cookies!
And I rolled one in chocolate shavings for good measure.
