Anyone else find it funny that the Banana Co. driver looks like one of the minions from Despicable Me?

I thought it would be a good idea to drive somewhere to shoot my minion today. Next time I need to prepare, I forgot gloves and my fingers were so cold it was tough to hold the camera without shaking. Only 2 more sleeps 'til Xmas.

Went and saw Despicable Me 2 with my Daughter. The Minions resonated, so here is a Dark Blue Minion. Will be making a regular blue version as well. He was specifically made to be shorter than a minifigure sporting stubbies. This way if I make the kids they will be taller than the Minions.

I have made 4 in all, they are running all over my LEGO room laughing, well, the purple one isn't laughing. Why won't they just give him the banana?

I bought a couple because, they exist Of course I did.

.....looks like their annual migration or something!!! Hee hee......

This series of Minions was inspired by my Nerdly-Minion and started as a project for the LEGO Store community window in Raleigh, NC. I meant to put these up on display for the release of the movie "Minions" due in July 15. I think the kids would have liked it.

Unfortunately, for reasons that I can't really comprehend TLG decided to revisit the rules of the community windows and as a result these little guys will probably never see a LEGO store from up-close. Too bad.

Building instructions for the basic Minion can be grabbed from Rebrickable here:

The Minions are small, yellow, cylindrical, creatures who have one or two eyes. I love it so much, and I hope all of You like it too .I designed this two-color Model from one 16*8cm uncut paper,

Got the Minions set (#75551) as a present for my birthday in summer and wanted to be able to build all 3 minions at the same time.

One thing led to another: I bought myself a second copy of the set, had so much fun and there were enough parts left to start to build another minion. So, here's Stuarts friend Dave, of course with a banana.

On the inside is a little kitchen so Dave can make cupcakes and ice cream.

I also wanted to build an evil minion. On the inside there's just a thick jungle and it looks like there's nobody in control.

My husband made me some custom stickers for the purple eye.

Another character for my Minion Wars display. In a few days the final display for the HispaBrick Magazine Event next December.

Mega bloks has come out with the new Minion kits, so of course I had to have some. I don't think I'm going to get them all (I hope LOL) but I liked this one with the pirates. The kit itself was easy, I don't think any of the small sets are going to be hard, but I bet the castle will take some work.

Saw these Minons causing trouble today. :-)

Minions Heritage Centre Exhibition is located in Houseman’s Engine House part of South Phoenix Mine, just outside the village of Minions.

The mine originally extracted copper, the 1850s being the mine's peak production of the metal, with a work force of 130. By the 1860s the copper reserves were diminishing. It was in 1864 changed over to mine Tin and finally ceased production in 1898.

Minions & the Cheesewring 10 October 2018. Close at hand is Phoenix United tin mine, rail served by an incline that crossed the lengthy line that ran on the foreground embankment. Kit Hill is the high ground in the middle distance, with Callington spread out to its right, whilst Dartmoor is just about visible in the haze.

Running across the foreground is one of the main railways that served mines and quarries in the area, this one heading northwards (left) to serve branches to quarries on Bearah Tor and Kilmar Tor, plus the longest of the three to a terminus near the Bronze Age Trewortha Village.

Not easy to collect all the needed parts. The force is strong with this creature...

Drops on a glass table and a Minions Tic-Tac Box

This week a composition made with large aperture with a very bright lens, the 50mm f1 / 4. This allowed me to realize a blur of back and foreground. The lights of the city in the background also have a rendering of "big pixels" very aesthetic to my taste. The post treatment allowed me to have a pastel color rendering.
