I try to post new works to flickr as I make them, but sometimes, especially if photography sessions yeild results that aren't up to my standards, I get behind and things that I intend to post remain as intentions.
Here are two such pieces, both from 2023.
On the left is "Feathered Totemic" - one form of my "bronze mandala" style of art.
On the right is a very different instance of my "bronze mandala" style - it started as a 2x2" stretched canvas (the square hole in the back was the perfect size to glue a strong round magnet into). Then I built walls of masking tape all around the edges, arranged tiny little metal decorations (really so wee) in a pattern on the surface of the canvas, and verrryyy carefully poured a quarter inch thick layer of resin onto it. When the resin was cured I removed the tape walls and voila - a clever little item both useful and unique. An instant best seller at the market. Although the magnet is sold, Feathered totemic has not even had a chance to be displayed so it remains available on my never-visited website: unicoherent.com. UPDATE: SOLD
