9th Annual MINIs ON TOP, two day event held in Lanconia, NH. Drive up Mt. Washington auto road, lots of scenic drives.
Mighty Minis is one of the UK's most popular Mini championships and in 2013 they will join the superb Brands Hatch Mini Festival race schedule. The championship is renowned for attracting novice drivers as they make their first steps on the motorsport ladder. The cars are based around road legal Minis built from 1991-1996 with a few safety and reliabilty modifications. ................. The thrilling Super Mighty Minis are another addition to the race content for the 2013 Brands Hatch Mini Festival. The championship is the bigger brother of the Mighty Minis series catering for more powerful 1.3 litre spec pocket rockets. The championship is designed for drivers with at least a year of competitive racing under their belts.
Mini with a seriously big Honda powerplant installed. Shame about the people milling around in the background but I feel the high contrast subject and extreme clarity I've added helps hold focus on the car.

The light that is. Pretty simple little hack. Since the NiteRider is gone, I ordered a mini-LED flashlight through work and found an appropriate P-clamp to attach it to the threaded bosses on the Nitto rack. The light itself has a frighteningly heavy duty aluminum casing, and what appears to be a simple and rugged push-button on/off switch at the tail end. It is easily brighter than the various mini-LED's which I've used on the handlebar. My sense is bright enough to run as a main forward light.

John Cooper, owner of the Cooper Car Company saw the potential for Minis in competition driving and collaborated with Alex Issigonis to produce the Mini Cooper, introduced in 1961. It went on to enjoy a successful rallying career.
