A mindmap I put together to graph out all the information I had collected around the topic of Identity 2.0 and privacy.
I left out the breakdown of the 7 Laws of identity because I simply had it all already organize in a bulleted list elsewhere.
Observing a site- Audience space and behavior
This workshop is in two parts; the first will be an investigation of the site, The Mackintosh Building. During this part of the workshop we will explore ways of documenting and gathering information – photography, drawing, recording conversations, finding objects and materials, maps and plans.

DPhil Networking Event in Media and Film Studies at Sussex University
Many people wanted more after the "Academic Speed Dating session" I did at the department's Research Day in June, so I organised this event for all DPhil students in the department last week and it was great fun! The first activity was inspired by Hugh Davies great 'map me' project and was a bit of a warm-up activity where we could find out who is supervised by whom in the department.
For the second activity we all produced some quick and colourful mindmaps about our PhD project, including "PhD in a nutshell", "PhD worries" and "Would like to join forces with other DPhils to...". This was really successful as we took turns standing at our posters and wandering around chatting to the poster owners - and suddenly it was really late and everybody had to dash off.
There's a little bit of wine, beer, soft drinks and crisps left over. Who would like to organise the next event so we can finish the drinks? Email me!
I decided to mind map our conversation. The paper wasn't quite big enough and I only had two thick pens, but it was still fun.
Theo uses an extremely visual method to describe the role of his collection, specifically the long-stored and opened pandora's boxes.
This is the right hand side of the summary mindmap from the three sessions with EDS Managers, HTs and SMTs in June 2007.
First the various topic areas bouncing around in my head are laid out in different categories. Green: Philsophy, Blue: Science, Pink: Politics, Orange: Art, Purple: Ethics. After most of the ideas are up they will be sorted top to bottom by some combination of "importance" and "interestingness" then split off into clusters of related ideas.
