This is what it takes to get my thinking down on paper in a clear & concise fashion. Lots of thinking and lots of scrap paper notes. And time. Throughout the week I was being "gently nudged" to complete my blogpost by @Sharon_Drummond. I was proud to report to her on Friday night that I at least had it down to an organized mindmap. Her brilliant idea was to post the picture as my blogpost. That was the catalyst I needed to actually complete this task. :) You can read the finished product at www.kellypower.ca if you like.

Damit man mal sieht wie kompliziert das eigentlich ist mit diesen Webkrauts. Und ja, man kann es nicht lesen. Das ist Absicht...
This Idea Map summarizes the top 10 fastest-rising Google searches in 2011. I hope you enjoy viewing this as much as I enjoyed creating it.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened."
What if you just knew that this will come true?
What if you just knew that if you asked for something today - especially with 'shameless audacity' - it will come true?
What will you ask for knowing it shall be given to you?
What if you just knew if you sought for something or someone today, you will find what you are looking for?
What will you seek today?
What if you just knew that any door you knocked on today will be opened for you?
What doors will you knock on today?
LinkedIn and InFluence
A friend asked me this week about how to get endorsements for what he wants to be known for now. It was a straightforward 'ask' for a solution he was 'seeking' - and he chose to 'knock' on my door. Did I say, "No!"? No! I was honoured to be asked.
Generally speaking, people are good, and they feel great when they help others.
I continue to be pleasantly surprised at just how generous people are when they are given the opportunity to contribute. It's almost as if they are waiting for your permission to be kind to you. So let's give them permission. Let's not expect them to be mind-readers - let's ask for what we want.
Shameless Audacity
It was actually shocked that this was in the Good Book:
Then Jesus said to them, “Suppose you have a friend, and you go to him at midnight and say, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread; a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have no food to offer him.’ And suppose the one inside answers, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is already locked, and my children and I are in bed. I can’t get up and give you anything.’ I tell you, even though he will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your shameless audacity he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened."
This can all be verified in Luke's Gospel, Chapter 11. Version quoted here is the NIV.
What would you attempt if you knew you could not fail?
I've been delivering training programmes in Personal Development since 1985, and fascinated with the subject for a lot longer. Ideas change lives, and sometimes, all we need is a nudge - some gentle permission to try something. But "shameless audacity" is a whole new and higher level of boldness. This means that, today, the message is not so much a nudge but a big push. Time to fly!
“Come to the edge," he said.
"We can't, we're afraid!" they responded.
"Come to the edge," he said.
"We can't, We will fall!" they responded.
"Come to the edge," he said.
And so they came.
And he pushed them.
And they flew.”
― Guillaume Apollinaire
So I'm encouraging you (and myself) today to ask for what we want, to seek for what we're looking for, and to knock on some doors - especially those that have seemed closed to us...
...after all, why would you knock on an open door?

Observing a site- Audience space and behavior
This workshop is in two parts; the first will be an investigation of the site, The Mackintosh Building. During this part of the workshop we will explore ways of documenting and gathering information – photography, drawing, recording conversations, finding objects and materials, maps and plans.
