Mimi was here for a few months, and went back to China this weekend. Her father was at the USGS for a year.
Her mother didn't come, because she is in fire control, which is part of the army in China, and they wouldn't let her leave. Well, that's what I understood her father to say.
Her grandparents came out with her, though.
They all took a road trip to Yellowstone..
This shot was taken when I took Mimi with me to Chicora where the goats, horse and chickens live. She was looking out the passenger window and could see the cats coming down the path from being up on the goat hill.
She thinks that ALL cats are my cat, Savior. I don't think she realizes that ALL cats would not let her crawl all over them.....while he gets licked madly.....while she whines with such excitement.......and not even once does my cat, Savior, try to hurt her. He just "takes it" while she does her thing....then she whines some more and slowly like a pup in "combat" slinks away....slowly crawling like a little snake off of poor Savior.
Oh my Savior is such a good kitty......
Savior just joined us for Mother's Day next door at my brother's house. We ate on John's deck at the table. Savior stayed under my chair at the table. He was such a good boy. My daughter even said to her fiance..."If I could ever get a cat as nice as Savior, I would in a minute if I could have pets".....She said he's the nicest cat she's ever seen.
If I walk next door to my brother's house....Savior always follows me when he is outside. He stays on their deck railing the entire time I am inside my brother's house. When I leave....he leaves.
Just wanted to share.....Mimi, the pup, is not this little anymore.....but honestly...she is not much bigger. I hope by being the runt, she stays small. She is small....but VERY MIGHTY.

Apesar de eu ter ficado super feliz com a minha roedora fofa Mimi (nome que coloquei nela), eu nem tirei fotos dela no dia que a recebi.
Acabei correndo e colocando em prática o que idealizei para ela antes que eu acabasse nem tentando xD
E aqui está a maior parte do plano: a coroa pintada de rosa com aplicação e o vestidinho que fiz para ela. E de agrado, uma pulseira <3
Bem, é dificil eu gostar 100% do que faço e a coroa é uma dessas coisas. Minha pintura sempre fica tão bruta. Não levo jeito pra isso @_@''
O vestido ficou do jeito que imaginei, porém ficou bem volumoso na costura da cintura. Eu queria beeeem volumosa a saia, então acho que exagerei no tecido xDDD
Mas, visualmente falando achei que ficou fofa *-*
E o cabelinho dela está todo trançado para quando eu soltar ficar bem volumoso, assim espero xD

Mimi took to posing for the camera very quickly , especially when a piece of chicken was on offer ! Has she gone too heavy on the mascara ?
Mimi had no fear in front of the camera: in fact here she would have walked into the lens if I hadn't backed off !
I am missing Mimi so much while she away at the face-up artist for a refresh and repair.
I took these photos two weekends ago, just before she went away.
Mimi is the domestic cat of our friends we visited in Brittany. She is mistress of a very large garden and comfortable living a happy life.
Whenever I wanted to take a picture, the cat was on the spot. A fantastic model - mostly... ;-)

Mimi Jensen is fascinated by the way things look. She translates that attentiveness into art by painting in a meticulously composed and refined manner. Jensen's widely collected work ranges from imaginary realism to the still life. Each piece begins when some simple detail, the shadow on a drawn window shade, an elegant black and white Balinese fabric, catches her eye. Jensen's intent in painting it is to entice the viewer to linger long enough to see and contemplate what otherwise might be overlooked. Although her settings evidence a human presence, no one is there at the captured moment. It's up to the viewer to supply a narrative.

There is an Italian saying ‘at the dinner table none gets old’ wjhe you are listening music it is a banquet for the ears and a meal for the heart and soul.
This image is of Osmel Fernandez playing Clave and sing a smile in the key of joyious laughter.
This is my latest workshop to Cuba.. I shot this image withe new Nikon Zf a very fun camera to shoot and the 50mm f1.2 lens. An exquisitely beautify piece of glass to work with. The Zf is the camera I grab when I have no idea what I am walking into and the Plena is just a visual pleasure to look through whilst I shoot.
I am so looking forward to going back to Cuba March 07-14 2024 for my Photography and Music workshop.
