To kick off our prep work for the Global Youth Summit, the ITU hosted special one-day MILLENNIALS JAM WORKSHOP at its ICT Discover Center, with an exclusive and select group of 40 entrepreneurial young people. The objective of this unique one-day event is to crowd-source a more detailed framework for the Summit where approximately 25,000 young people will input their ideas for the post-2015 global development agenda.

Overpriced crap for millennials and other fools

When communities like Montgomery County talk about "attracting young people," they're usually talking about those with college degrees and white-collar jobs. Let's look at where they live. Here's a map of 18-to-34-year olds with at least an associate's degree:

The general distribution of young people is the same - along the Red Line, I-270 and Route 29, but there's a greater shift towards the Downcounty. This time, the 10 largest concentrations of Millennials are all along the Red Line and south of Twinbrook, and there are fewer college-educated young adults in the Upcounty and East County. Since college-educated people tend to have higher incomes, they might choose to live in more expensive areas like downtown Bethesda and Friendship Heights.
