The Millenium Cross and Macedonian flag atop Mt. Vodno. The cross is lit up at night, visible from all over the city. As a side note, the Macedonian flag is one of my favorites in the world.

From my vantage point on the Thames path, the sun flared through the supporting struts of the Millenium Bridge, silhouetting people on their way home from Tate Modern.
Whilst walking past the Sage in Gateshead I noticed this just staring at me. Shame wasn't a bit taller so the bridge was in the middle of the window.

Developed by Mark McDonough. Probably includes some A. nutens. Upright foliage clump of slender, grass-like, glossy deep green leaves ~6-12” tall in spring. Unbranched naked scapes rise 18-20” tall by mid-summer. Flowers are showy 2-inch spherical umbel of rose purple florets. Bloom mid to late summer (July-August). It is often spelled ‘Millennium’, but is registered as ‘Millenium’. #monocot
