So it's Tuesday and for some reason my Tuesday has supplied me with an

epiphany. I don't get too many of those so I was slightly surprised.

Here's the thing, I can not date women who mumble. First off, I hate

Twilight movies. Second, I'm getting older, and my ears ain't what they

used to be. Third, communication is the most important thing in a

relationship. How can we communicate if you're mumbling? Put some wind

behind those vocal chords! Some precision behind those lips!

I go on a bit of a historical recitation of the 80's band Tears For Fears

on this show. I don't know why I'm such a nut for that band. I have their

Today I have the return of the much loved feature WOW SCHATZ WOW where

we'll hear some interesting recent news stories you didn't know about, plus

we'll hear from Madame Rootabega, Valentino, and Bison Bentley! And we'll

hear from a lady that said to the state of Maine, "Screw you guys, I'm

going home...to another state...because you Ebola quarantined me and you're

a bunch of hypochondriacs."

When someone on the street is asking you for money, the first thing they

ask is, "Excuse me, sir!" Yeah, I'm not falling for that trick. Hearing

those three little words only makes me walk faster. But Mike, those people

are in need and what if you needed help and blah blah blah. You're right.

I'm just pointing out the conditioning society has given me. That a

certain three word sentence has been used so many times in this situation

it has created an almost involuntary response. This also works with people

selling skin lotion crap from kiosks at the mall.

I dis The Wire on today's show with someone from Baltimore. What am I

thinkin'? And I mention the horrible TV practice of doing the "trapped"

episode where the characters are trapped in a car, in a freezer, in a

spaceship, and they proceed to do a psychological, dialogue heavy episode.

I HATE THOSE!!! Why? I don't know. Maybe I'm claustrophobic. Maybe I

don't like the way it reminds me that I'm trapped watching a lame TV show.

Maybe I don't like how obvious the TV show is in not paying for sets.

Maybe I shouldn't watch TV anymore. Yeah, I'll go with that.

So remember how corrupt all the health insurance companies were and we

thought Obamacare might change that? Yeah, good one. Can the government

possibly fix the mess that are the phone carrier companies? Yeah, good

one. There is no Obamacare for phone carriers (Obamacarrier?) but that

whole system is completely corrupt. They are ALL doing whatever they can

to screw us. Especially you, Sprint! I've got my middle finger up for you!

It's interesting when a certified nutritionist tells you that milk is bad

for you and that we don't need it since our body only needs it when we're

babies. But what about the daily food plate that the government said is

what we should follow? It says we need at least one serving of dairy a

day. The Dairy Industry, Mike! Oh. And there would be a massive national

uproar if the government told us to stop eating cheese. It would be a

National Cheese Incident.
