I really enjoy the simplicity Albert Weston captures in his images of the human spine. I tried recreating his shot, but i didn't like how easy it was to achieve, so I chose this one to represent my study of the spine.
for the peeps from toronto (this might be interesting)... alsop's bldg seems to make it to a lot of exams/midterms at the gsd... this was the same case for r.moneo's class last yr.
It's that time of the semester again. Stressful for the students, busy for the profs. But, we're into the home stretch!
I was happy with the perspective of this shot; it seems to give the whole thing an out-of-body-experience vibe. At least, in my opinion, anyhow... for whatever that's worth. The together-yet-isolated orientation of the two students also interested me.

In 1999 TIbor Kalman was posthumously awarded the AIGA medal. During his life as a designer he managed to coin the moniker of the “Bad Boy” of design. He was notorious for only working when he had complete control over the project on which he was working. He always had a huge personal and moral agenda with his work and hated the big business commercial work being produced in the world. He saw it as mediocrity and wouldn’t stand for any of it. His Magazine Colors was his pet project where he was editor and chief, which meant anything he wanted to do he could. He was never afraid to make people mad and never accepted excuses for bland commercial advertising. Till his dying day he stood up for what he believed in, no matter how loud he got doing it.
Sandefjord is this little town near Torp Airport that used to be the Whaling Capital of the World, and in fact still does quite a bit of whaling. Very pleasant place to spend a day, with a really adorable little harbor. And boats! Wooden ones! Everywhere!
I’ll start my presentation for apple logo.
This is a typical symbol of Apple. Apple is famous for a series Macintosh, iPod, iPhone, iPad.
Why Apple do familiar to us?
In my opinion, because It is the iPod.
Look at this, apple logo is very funny.
apple logo is not just apple shape that bite of apple it include two meaning.
first, just bite of apple second, bite means the terms of computer.
in fact, apple logo was a picture In the early time.
In addition, it was not black and white that has the rainbow colors.
However, ‘Steve Jobs’ who apple former boss was change to gray the logo. Probably, someone use apple products in this room.
Now I explain about how I took this picture.
I tried to emphasize the Apple logo on a black background.
The Apple logo was placed in the center and focused attention.
I take this picture of mac book.
A lighter on a pack of cigarettes found at the designated smoking area of Long Beach City College’s Liberal Arts Campus on Tuesday, November 29th, 2016. Smoking is very common among college students, however students will have to find a new place to smoke off-campus with the potential ban on cigarette and vaporizer smoking on California college campuses. Intended for use in the Polling Place Photo Project, unfortunately neither the Winterhouse Institute, the AIGA, The Design Observer or New York Times have decided to continue with the project for the 2010 midterm election.
On the Facebook event for the protest in support of Coward, around 4,000 people indicated they were attending the event. Hundreds of Facebook posts expressing support for Dr. Coward clogged up news feeds the night that Dr. Coward announced that he was being dismissed. However, it's easier to click attending than to actually attend; on the day of the event, only 75-100 people physically attended. While this is undeniably related to the fact that the protest was in the middle of class hours on a Tuesday (many passionate people we reached out to had midterms or class they didn't want to miss), there is some element of social media apathy at play.
Sometimes people replace physical activism with the newer form of social media activism. To some, this may seem to be less effective, but social media can still have big impacts.
