What is WoodR4 (WR4)?
WR4 is a community created firmware for the original R4 based on the RPG firmware source. The largest problem the
R4 has recently faced is the LACK OF MANUFACTURER SUPPORT! Once SDHC cards came out, the poor R4 was essentially dumped for its sluttier sister, the R4HC (you could really stuff her full of homebrews). The issue is, not
everyone needed 4-8 gigs of games at any one time, so why blow more money when the R4 worked perfectly well? That's where the community came to the rescue. WoodR4 is one of those answers, giving the R4 a whole new run at life.
