chipKIT Wi-FIRE: WiFi Enabled PIC32MZ Microcontroller Board
Building on the previous successes with the chipKIT WF32, the Wi-FIRE uses the same 43 available I/O pins, 12 analog inputs, 3.3 operating voltage, 4 user LEDs, potentiometer, buttons, uses MRF24 on-board wireless module, microSD Card, dedicated SPI Signals and high efficiency switching 3.3V switching power supply for low-power operation.
The Wi-FIRE is significantly faster than its WF32 counterpart, with 200 MHz operation speed, 2MB of Flash, 512kB RAM, High-Speed USB and a 50MHz SPI. The PIC32MZ core includes the MIPS M5150 CPU Core from Imagination Technologies. The M5150 is a highly efficient, compact core that is optimized for cloud-connected based projects, using Imagination Technologies' FlowCloud software.

The chipKIT WiFi Shield provides chipKIT microcontroller boards the ability to connect to and communicate with IEEE 802.11 compatible wireless networks. The WiFi Shield also provides a microSD card connector for use with microSD flash memory cards. The chipKIT MPIDE SD library can be used to read/write files stored on the microSD card.
Nerdeky News:Alcatel officially announced its low-end smartphone – the Alcatel Flash 2 in India last month. With no words on pricing, the handset was officially said to be available in India at some point of this month. Now, fulfilling its words, the company has launched the handset in India and revealed that it will be available to purchase in the country through Flipkart – a local e-commerce portal from October 27 for INR 9,299.
Talking about specs, the Alcatel Flash 2 features a 5 inch LCD HD display with 720x1280 pixels of resolution and comes with 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to whooping 128GB via MicroSD. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit architecture-based MediaTek MT6753 SoC which packs an octa-core processor running at 1.3GHz of clocked processing speed paired with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM and Mali-T720MP4 Graphics Processing Unit. The newcomer boots Android v5.0 Lollipop and features a 5 inch HD IPS display with 720×1280 pixels of resolution. Backed by a 2400 mAh battery, the handset measures 143×70.3×7.9mm and weighs 134 grams.
The Gionee F103L is powered by an unspecified SoC which packs an unspecified processor running at 1.3GHz of clocked processing speed paired with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD. Further, this 4G connectivity-enabled smartphone features a duo of 8 (with 4x digital zoom capability and CMOS sensor) and 5 megapixels shooters placed on its rear and front respectively.
