My mother-in-law is a chemistry and microbiology teacher at the secondary college and not so long ago she took Egor to the lab at the college:)) He was so excited to see the microscope! Here he was showing "microscope" to me :))

These are endocervical cells, also from a Pap Smear. They are normal and although a little air dried this is kind of a text book shot. Laying on their side they are said to be like a picket fence, while on their end they make a honeycomb. See my notes for the details! This is magnified about 400x.

This is the microscope we built and the old Iphone 4S that we are using to take the pictures.

 

We needed to be build the lego slide holders to get the focus on the slides right. The bolts on the screws meant we couldn't focus the slides otherwise.

This is the binocular boom microscope with zoom lens, which I used for almost all of the RAM wire soldering.

My grandfather was a doctor. Along with a few books and other essentials, his microscope made its way to my hands. It's a whole world to discover.
