My mother-in-law is a chemistry and microbiology teacher at the secondary college and not so long ago she took Egor to the lab at the college:)) He was so excited to see the microscope! Here he was showing "microscope" to me :))

These are endocervical cells, also from a Pap Smear. They are normal and although a little air dried this is kind of a text book shot. Laying on their side they are said to be like a picket fence, while on their end they make a honeycomb. See my notes for the details! This is magnified about 400x.

My grandfather was a doctor. Along with a few books and other essentials, his microscope made its way to my hands. It's a whole world to discover.

My Russian microscope There's no turret, so one moves between the 3 different front-elements that I got it with, by screwing them in and out. The movable slide-cradle is something I tacked on later. The top ring is for zoom. Slide-copy.
