Each year, the Science Exposed research image contest highlights the work of scientists across the country. This exhibition features some of the finalists' submissions from the past five years of the contest. Their images provide a glimpse into ongoing Canadian, research, and reveal the beauty and wonder of their scientific observations.

The software included with these cameras allows for not only image capture, but also time-lapse imaging, merge/superimpose the images from different channels (RGB + BF/Ph or RGBW), measurement, stacking among numerous other features. These additional technologies offer unique methods for viewing the specimen.

Among these various technologies, the epi-fluorescence microscope is one of the most widely used optical tools for cell culture imaging. Our epi-fluorescence microscopes are mainly offered with high quality Japanese optics and a variety of filter cubes to provide different levels of resolution while we use the mechanical parts (main body) from Chinese sources to lower the cost. They can also be paired with USB digital CCD cameras for image capture. The software included with these cameras allows for not only image capture, but also measurement, stacking and combining images captured with different filter sets into one image, among numerous other features. These additional technologies offer unique methods for viewing the specimen.

A small £3 attachment from Tiger has allowed me to turn my phone into a microscope.

From my High School science class, my teacher got it out from pond water. Recorded on OPPO A52

I love the look of this antique microscope! Its still in fine working order but naturally we are discouraged from playing with it.

 

Its made of brass and has some decorative elements that, unfortunately, you can't see in this photo.
