Heather did some really cool microscale stuff a while back. I wish she had done more as she was really good at it.
Photo from the archives of Heather "LEGOGirl" Braaten.
This rough looking ship does what other ships are not equipped to do, discover hyperspace lanes. Outfitted with thousands of sensors, receivers, and spectrometers this craft was built to find the next space highway that will transport colonists and merchants to new systems and expand humanities existence to parts unknown. While dangerous, the reward can be substantial.
While superficially, Liberator is a relatively simple unit with a relatively simple shape, it employs a lot of curves and small details. To any micro-scale Lego scale artist, it means "it sucks".
This is a lot more complex than it looks. Also, Blizzard cheats, Concord cannon appears out of nowhere, and I can't replicate magic in a Lego microscale model *insert mad face*.
a micro Barbatos. It has (almost!) full articulation (the knees don't bend far enough for my liking) I had to redesign the chest many times till i settled on that solution.
From left to right: Fuel truck, Weapons vehicle, Supply truck (design idea courtesy of roguebantha 1138).

Jump jets and control wings, plus a high-powered targetting scope, make him the "fly on the wall".
It also has an arm-mounted sonic disruptor (using sound rather than energy so as not to interfere with the [visual] scope) and carries a pair of one-shot rockets and a barbed whip.
Quick picture of my upcoming MOC. Here you can see Alfaris with it's watch tower, walls and gate, church, armory, blacksmith shop, market, city-hall, mine and mine support house, crop field and small farmer house.
Xiphos Systems heavy frigate Tenebrae, equipped with two missile banks, a quad-turbolaser turret and two BFG's in the forward prongs.

Built by a student in one of my microscale classes. This is the kind of photo quality I'm able to get with my simple studio and a point-and-shoot camera.
And so it begins! Work is underway on the reactor/engine section, which is already longer than I had anticipated. There is still a lot to be done on it, including the actual torch ship style engine nozzle at the end, but I am happy with where it is heading so far!

Can't take the credit fpr this Lego micro scale model of an eagle from space 1999. Instructions are in an issue of brickjournal (dont know the number).
